Never seen that picture before - who is the guy with just a wry smile on his face rather than going mental. Even if I was a neutral at another ground (except the rags and except if the goal stopped us winning the league) I would have not contained myself.

Ryan Shawcross looks pretty happy in the bottom left.

Sheikh must be well pleased how he is bringing the City name around the globe for commercial reasons like.

And if he's not pleased then Redknapp would surely take Mario on a free.

Does it...

you know.....

It has been commented on before and the general consensus is that he was a rag - presumably there to witness us stumbling at the final hurdle, which in all fairness he had a good shout on. There's an even better picture somewhere where he stands out like a sore fucking thumb.

It wasn't you Camo Bentley, was it?

I think too many on here are too pro-mario or anti-mario to see the wood for the trees.

I'm certainly not his biggest fan, and to be honest think he is more trouble than he is worth, but we need to look at this incident in a bit more isolation to judge it.

He made a bad tackle on Sinclair, which player hasn't made a bad challenge in training? If we were all watching training (which sounds like it could actually be possible to do) and was sinclair with the ball and mario not bother to challenge him, everyone would be screaming 'lazy,' 'doesn't care,' 'not interested' etc.
He made a challenge, which was probably not the best, but which striker can tackle?

Mancini has had a go at him, we don't know if this was a reasonable and justified 'go' or not, and mario has gesticulated at him. How many times have we seen mancini do that to him and othe players? Does he have a case to argue when someone does it back to him?

From all of the pictures it seems than mancini was the aggressor, yet mario gets all the blame, because he did what? Maybe threw his arms in the air and said shut up, maybe more, but nobody on here knows so how can anyone be so critical without knowing the facts?

This may seem very anti-mancini and pro-mario but it isn't meant to be as I'm of the opposite belief.
Lets just wait for some more facts before hanging anyone.

Bust ups happen from time to time, but at our club they nearly always involve Balotelli. I wanted him gone before this and I hope this incident means a higher up at the club starts to agree with me. I don't care how he acts off the pitch, it's on the pitch that matters and he's been found lacking repeatedly.

No way - i know a lad who sold his ticket for £300 and he could have got more. Easily. No way would a rag go to our game rather than watch their own game when they could win the title along with a pocketful of cash. No way.

Anyone listening to sean on Talkshite who is from Stockport with the pretend accent who cant string a sentence together??

Change your tampon. This sort of things happens up and down just about every training ground in the land in any sport that sees top athletes playing at an elite level against each other.

The difference in our case is that a) we are big news and b) our training ground is open to the public and as such, has half a dozen cameramen waiting to take pictures with long lenses at anything at all.

I agree but it’s getting to far now and embarrassing! This happens at every club but Mario has to go and if Mancini won’t sell him then clear them both out!!
I am not embarrassed in the least. I just wish the new training ground was coming in a month instead of 2 years.

Typical that we are the only PL club with an open public footpath running alongside our training ground.

The new training ground won’t help the problem Mario causes!! Do you think Mansour finds his antics funny and will be impressed with this?? FFS he is so overrated IMO but everyone to their own opinion

Mancini has to take some of the blame because he is a hot character and he paid 24 million for him and he has stuck by him

I think he will be sold for this now and I really would love Mancini to be here in 10 years but enough is enough he must clear him out

And yes the sooner the press can’t take pictures the better but I can only remember 3 bust ups since we got took over and had the world watching and Mario was involved in all of them. I may be wrong but I am sure you will correct me if I am :->

Some proper rag wums on Talkshite at the minute, especially this Shaun from Stockport.

1994-95, Steve Kinsey got 39 goals in 28 games for indoor side Detroit Neon. Hardly bears comparison.

We are in the entertainment business this is entertainment. I always cringe at people trying to paint footballers as role models and examples of acceptable behavior. These are womanising young millionaires with no real connection to any of us besides our love for them. Lets stop imagining things here of all the owners investments this is probably the most casual and things like dust offs on the training pitch are nothing. Its naive to think that the owners image is affected by the actions of a 22 Italian boy with his own issues. On a completely business level Mario has attracted masses of fans and attention to the club which equals global exposure and revenue. Celebs pay agents and PR companies to get a quarter of the attention he commands for free just by being Mario. Stop looking at it if we are running a nunnery and one of the nuns was caught gagging on a cock in public. Childish footballer behaved like childish footballer after provocation from childish manager who was once a bad boy footballer himself.

Its all entertainment and no amount of Mario out blah will change that you are actually increasing his market value. People who count shit like how many times a name is typed in Google or an article about a certain player is read will tell you that Mario is any market mans dream. He is now one of the most famous young athletes in the world and that has commercial value for him and the club. Business is about numbers not who or what you like.
You could make the same justifications for joey barton. Another one who believes he is much better than he actually is. Publicity follows some players around wherever they go. Some have the talent and application to compensate for their words and actions and end up being labelled a flawed genius. Balotelli is just flawed.

Are you comparing Joey Bartons fame and ability to draw attention as big as Balotellis? Seriously? I do not even think half the people in my building know who he is. Are you also comparing Bartons talent to Balotellis? Regardless of your hatred for Mario he has won stuff and contributed to teams winning. What has Barton done? Lets not turn this into a gutter debate what next Megan Fox is just like Vanessa Feltz?
I wouldn't say I have a hatred for him. Whether I did or not doesn't matter, only one person's opinion matters ultimately. I just have a dislike for somebody who has shown absolutely no respect for the club I've supported for 35 years. I don't know where you work but nearly eveyone knows who barton is and it's not for his ability as a footballer.
