We get told how great a footballer he is. In two and a half seasons we have seen very little. His attitude was awful today. We just saw him in his Bentley on Great Ancoats street. Obviously got away like a shot. Sadly RM just cannot see it. How he deserved to start before Carlos and Edin is just indefensible.

Thought he was ok first half but you saw a huge different in tempo and intensity when Tevez cam on.

Anyone know why he went straight down the tunnel again?

Being hung out to dry but was one of our better players in the first half. He's going to take the stick for the whole team being woeful in the last half hour of the first half but he wasn't the problem.

The fact that people with a Balotelli blind spot constantly have to resort to claiming that non descript performances, that are at best run of the mill, are 'a good effort' is the most damning thing of all.

You have people who are massive fans of him and actively looking to defend him and this is the pinnacle of what they can come up with. A player who, we are told, is world class and has the potential to be the best around, and his biggest fans are constantly seeking to justify that status with "he did ok/he worked hard/he won a few free kicks/he tracked back at one point/he can't be expect to be as creative as the likes of Tevez."

What happened to the "he was fucking class in X, Y and Z games in the last two months" defence of a top player.

You simply cannot say that about him, ever. Even if you are motivated by the huge man love that his off the field antics and the way he carries himself inspires in some people.

Anyone worked out how many points we've dropped when he's started .Always gives opposition a player advantage until he dragged of sulking . I like characters but this one can't deliver roll on January get rid
