Strange that there are so many people getting on his back when he has played so little this,season.....some people listen to pundits/supposed specialists too much.

Next point is that he clearly gets treated different by refs than other players....the other night was a case in point where he was clearly barged off the ball and nothing was given whereas Garcia had git booked for a much less robust tackle in the first half.......that is wrong!

His first touch is usually exceptional, his link up play is as well....his speed of thought as well is better than most. He us good in the air, can beat a man, has an excellent shot on him, and his off the ball movement is very good...those calling him lazy haven't the slightest clue what they are talking about quite frankly.

so your criticisms are as follows:

he slipped - A clear accident so how can you judge him on that?

faked or milked an injury....when the players boot clearly goes into his thigh!!!!!

needless booking....he was rightly frustrated at numerous decisions that went against him due to inconsistent, bias refereeing....even the Balo haters cannt fail to see that referees definitely have it in for him...

diving....when?

performances - somebody posted earlier int he thread on his actual game time this season which has been fairly limited....yet his goal ratio to time is int he top 10 in premier history.....

and he is only 22....plenty of time on his hands (and ours ) for him to get better.

the problem at the moment is that we arent playing very well and people are loking at the strikers (who yes are a little off form)....BUT the main problem is the midfield balance and individual preformaces arent at the level of last year;........that is where the problem lies along with a run of injuries and a suprisingly shakey defense at times (not helped again by injuries to richards and clichy)

He clearly has calmed down. His reaction the other night was completely understandable after a number of completely atrocious decisions against him...purely because it was balo.

He needs support, not his own fans against him.
I think Tuesdays match epitomised why so many fans are just fed up of him, in the space of 5 minutes he wasted a good chance by slipping over (wouldn't normally be bothered by it but he seems to slip an awful fucking lot) and when we really needed a goal with minutes left he faked injury or milked it for its worth while we were on the attack. He is a good player and only 22 which many forget but its his stupid antics which just get tiring, needless bookings, diving etc if his performances matched up to his perceived ability then these things would be more easily forgiveable but that hasn't happened the past 2 years.

I thought his calmness in the last few games has been decent (for him) considering how the refs have given everything against him.

fully agree!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Balotelli

What is annoying me is that Mancini keeps dropping him.

I thought he played very well against Wigan. A Balotelli in the past would have thought fuck this, Wigan on a Wednesday do me a favour and sulked around for 90mins.

He ran the channels well and got in some great positions but no one found him and then took his goal well considering he had to take it twice effectively.

He then gets dropped?

If Mancini want's to get the best out of him he has to keep playing him and rotate the players around him because otherwise you see what he did v Dortmund.

Something like this would get the best out of him imo;

----Balo----Aguero
--------Tevez----
---Silva-Barry-Yaya

Barry dropping deep with Yaya without the ball and then allowing Tevez, Silva and Yaya to move forward with it. Tevez I think is great in the hole like we saw at Swansea because he comes looking for the ball then he wins it and there is no one to pass to.

Yes please, i wonder how much money "why always me" have brought into the club. He may be a nutcase (our nutcase) and dont play regulary, but he gives us shit load of publicity world wide.

Imagine "It's not mine" shirt, lol

"Why always me" was great piece of marketing and it's brand on it's own now but out of that I'd rather not his other usual publicity and more on the pitch one.

In his last appearance he deliberately elbowed a player in the face. If that's calm then I despair.

This is still the key for me.It states above that:
"His first touch is usually exceptional, his link up play is as well....his speed of thought as well is better than most. He us good in the air, can beat a man, has an excellent shot on him, and his off the ball movement is very goof"

Most of that is what I fundamentally disagree with. His first touch is far far too often awful as evidenced in the last 2 times he came on and his first touch was to just give it away and I think he also fell over ( once at least but maybe both times) I believe his link up play is aweful ( cue the mention of the touch to Aguero v QPR which was his one and only assist in the whole season.)

His speed of thought is better than most!!! Convince me as I totally disagree as I don't think he has that many thoughts going through his mind apart from get the ball and shoot. He can be good in the air but do you really think he threatens to score headers.I cant recall many occasions but I can remember that bad miss at the far post v Wigan.

I am also not so sure he makes great runs very often either. Some of course but more often than not when I feel a player wants him to come to him and play one twos he is off on a run away that's very hard to find.

He is a decent player but he is anything but the superstar that some on here still believe but I congratulate those who still have total faith in him and I desperately hope he repays some of that faith soon and no better time to start than on Sunday.
