You see, this is where I differ on some things.

Has Mario let us down, yep, plenty times.

But fucking disgrace to the club should be for people like McManaman and Danny Mills, players who put a wage packet ahead of their own careers.

Could you kindly list these plenty of times Mario has let us down. And do not mention what he does in the privacy of his own home. On the field?
Red cards against Kiev and West Brom, note these 2 were the stupidest and completely avoidable hence their mention above the other red cards he has received.

The stamp on Parker.

The infamous back heel against Galaxy

Bitching over a free kick which needed 2 players to pull him away, unnecessary much?

And that's without mentioning the numerous training ground bust ups to which he seems to be the common factor.

Liverpool away shouldn't be on that list.

I agree, but he showed ill-judgement, it was two very quick yellows, having been introduced for only 18 minutes.

Same at Arsenal. His sending off for the tackle was not the red card it warranted, but again, let himself down with the challenges he made beforehand.

The backheel and the bitching over the free kick shouldn't be on that list either.

I'm not too bothered about the "numerous" training ground bust ups, didn't seem to hurt us too much last year.

Why shouldn't they?

And that's not the point, how are training ground bust ups with Kompany, Richards and Boateng not letting anyone down?

Again, people say he doesn't deserve the abuse he gets but he doesn't deserve these free passes either

Want him to leave as soon as possible but don't see it happening in January. He is at his lowest in last year or two and can't see anyone paying what City would want. Specially since there's no more than 2 clubs that would do it at the moment and both are not really loaded these days.

Would be best option for all, him included. You have to laugh on his fan boys who supposedly love him to death but want him stay here and watch how his career go down month by month. Who supposedly love club but don't see that he is wasting space of someone who could have future in this club. He never had it and never will.

I desperately want(ed?) Balotelli to realise his potential with us and like him very much so I may be a little biased here but I never understand some of the vitriol that goes his way.

He has fucked up occasionally when playing for us but has done far more good than bad in my eyes. I read in the papers now he had a disastrous game in the derby and the like and it is just bollocks.

But some are now so entrenched in their view about him that they would never back down from their position, which is sad really.

Agree with every word of that!

Would still support the team just tired of people claiming to be in the "know" making up blatant lies about wages, agendas and club trickery when the club, manager and player are all denying them.

You would think this Mario fella is some sort of Voldemort character who the club have to outwit and trick just to get rid of him.

I will put a hundred of my hard earned pounds up to any poster and say he will still be here in the summer.
What silly fuck would bet money on an internet forum without knowing the person in the flesh. A bet is only good if there's an expectation from both sides that the other will pay up if they lose.

I didn`t know Blue Toof and still wouldn`t if I bumped into him. However we had a Charity bet on last season and we know for certain that the loser paid up.
If they do it for a Charity bet, only a cnut wouldn`t pay up.

Because they haven't damaged our chances of success.

Great post!

I have more respect for those who can at least bend on both sides of the argument.

Mancini has twice hauled Mario off at West Ham and against United, when he was the only decent threat on the pitch.
