He is def up there, but for me the worse booing was directed against Richard Edgill who is also a fan. One of the few day when I was ashamed to be a blue when that lad left the pictch in tears!
Yeah, that was pretty awful. Was there then too. Coventry? Who was the keeper who fluffed a couple and got it badly? Dibble? Or was it margetson? We went 2 or 3 down and each one was a howler.

It was Andy Dibble. Was it the game when a fan ran to the dug out and pleaded with the bench to take him off!
It was dibble but I can't remember the details. We were 2-0 down and he was substituted at half time. The Maine road crowd were truly angry in those days and the atmosphere could be poisonous. It was the days of "we're shit and we're sick of it" or the daddy of all crowd disaffection songs, which I haven't heard us sing for years, "what the fuck is going on?". It used to rise in the north stand or kippax and boom right round the ground.

Now I may well be a million miles off but I think Zim is saying "come to manchester and I shall introduce you to Mario" given the fact that Zim certainly knows Mario on a personal level.

As I say, I may well be well off and I am sure someone will put me right but that is what I read from it.

I'd certainly jump at the chance Zim.

Really so what does he mean when he tells me "don't get above your station, couldn't threaten you hahahaha"?

There are several ways I could take that but as I keep telling your friend lets keep this about football and a peaceful debate.

Ok he claims to be friends with Mario friends enough that Mario would divulge personal feelings about his relationship with Mancini (they looked fine yesterday laughing and smiling). So as evidence of his relationship could he kindly post five separate pictures of them together in a social environment? I mean I have associates I barely know on my Facebook tagging me in 100s of pics so my friends pics are numerous. If I had a famous friend I would certainly have lots of pictures of us together just hanging out.

After said pictures I will apologise and agree there may be some truth to your friends claims.
Better idea, how about Zim takes me out with him and I'll post a pic of me and Mario?

That way I get a night out away from the mrs.

You went there again didn't you???

Instead of playing to the crowd accept my invitation and prove me wrong, i'll even pay for your travel, you won't spend a penny of your (im sure) hard earned money!

Yeah, but didn't he score a brilliant goal against Charlton, in same game, I think?

The crowd were certainly cheering him after that.

As the people booing Mario would have been if he had scored yesterday.
Course they would mate. Tevez is the classic example of the pantomime fickleness of football fans. I don't remember Barton scoring that night but I remember emotions running quite high.

Yeah, think he scored a cracking 30 yarder towards the North Stand.

You're righy, of course, about the fickleness of football fans and even the Mario supporters will forget about him and find a new hero when he does eventually move on.

Re Barton. I actually fully supported Barton's stance on a new deal at the time.

He had easily been our best player for over 12 months and was still on low monies.

Never booed a city player and never will. Remember applauding Barton that match and if I remember correctly he actually got man of the match and it was at the time when fans could vote by sending a text message. Just goes to show the boo boys may get the attention but they don't reflect the majority of supporters

Why would I play to a crowd I am not a cyber warrior claiming to be friends with Mario. Plus why are you assuming I need your money? My mothers entire side of the family live in Manchester I am always there I do not need to meet you to know you are lying. Post two pictures of yourself with Mario doing ANYTHING, just two.

True, but we also had our gallows humour. Sheffield United chanting "We hate Wednesday" and the city fans replying "We hate Saturday"

No chance it was Dibble. It was under Royle in about 200o or 2001. I think it was Weaver.

That's if it was the 2-1 defeat to Coventry when he scored an OG that you're talking about

So from five to two you do not have two pictures of yourself and Mario in any social environment? Hanging at his place or yours? Talking to females? Playing games or pool or just chilling catching jokes? Nada, nothing, ziltch? Yet you want me to believe that this person you are not close enough with to share normal, random pictures trusts you enough to tell you his personal feelings on his relationship with his manager who practically raised him?
