Yeah, that was pretty awful. Was there then too. Coventry? Who was the keeper who fluffed a couple and got it badly? Dibble? Or was it margetson? We went 2 or 3 down and each one was a howler.

It was Andy Dibble. Was it the game when a fan ran to the dug out and pleaded with the bench to take him off!
It was dibble but I can't remember the details. We were 2-0 down and he was substituted at half time. The Maine road crowd were truly angry in those days and the atmosphere could be poisonous. It was the days of "we're shit and we're sick of it" or the daddy of all crowd disaffection songs, which I haven't heard us sing for years, "what the fuck is going on?". It used to rise in the north stand or kippax and boom right round the ground.

Wow DD, you,ve just brought back a whole load of memories there..spot on with the poisonous crowd..i was part of the kippax in those days..how desperate must we have been to chant "what the fuck is going on?".dark dark days indeed....loved being a blue then tho....vent your anger on the kippax, rush round to the main stand on final whistle to shout for swales,s head, make lots more noise til you got bored and retire to the sherwood for a a few pints and a sing-song...loved it!!

True, but we also had our gallows humour. Sheffield United chanting "We hate Wednesday" and the city fans replying "We hate Saturday"
That's my favourite ever city chant. And "I'd rather be in Barnsley than Barbados" when franny was sunning himself during our winter of discontent

Is that a no then??

So from five to two you do not have two pictures of yourself and Mario in any social environment? Hanging at his place or yours? Talking to females? Playing games or pool or just chilling catching jokes? Nada, nothing, ziltch? Yet you want me to believe that this person you are not close enough with to share normal, random pictures trusts you enough to tell you his personal feelings on his relationship with his manager who practically raised him?

If I'm not mistaken Zim never posts his photo so you'd be hard pressed on this one.

If you have never met Zim how would you know it was him in the photo?

No chance it was Dibble. It was under Royle in about 200o or 2001. I think it was Weaver.

That's if it was the 2-1 defeat to Coventry when he scored an OG that you're talking about

No mate we were duscussing two seperate incidents where city players got booed. You are correct the Edgill one was weaver who incidently was part to blame for the goal and the other was in the more darker days with Andy Dibble, i think the Manager was the assistant who was caretaking after copple bottled it!

I'm not sure weaver was ever slated as badly as the incident I'm talking about, nor subbed at half time. I think it was dibble or margetson and we went 3 down in a big game- and every goal was a goalkeeping error. Weaver was a bit of a hero. He wouldn't have got that abuse, I don't think.

Ah I wonder why? Anyway I respect you backing your boy Sweep personally I do not believe him but hopefully he takes you and introduces you to Mario.

We're talking about different games. I'm talking about the one where Edghil was subbed at half time after leaving the pitch in tears
