If I'm not mistaken Zim never posts his photo so you'd be hard pressed on this one.

Ah I wonder why? Anyway I respect you backing your boy Sweep personally I do not believe him but hopefully he takes you and introduces you to Mario.
I know who zin is and what he does and I know he knows mario. So there are quite a few of us you are accusing of being liars.

I know what he looks like. Could point him out in a lineup ;)

It was dibble but I can't remember the details. We were 2-0 down and he was substituted at half time. The Maine road crowd were truly angry in those days and the atmosphere could be poisonous. It was the days of "we're shit and we're sick of it" or the daddy of all crowd disaffection songs, which I haven't heard us sing for years, "what the fuck is going on?". It used to rise in the north stand or kippax and boom right round the ground.

No chance it was Dibble. It was under Royle in about 200o or 2001. I think it was Weaver.

That's if it was the 2-1 defeat to Coventry when he scored an OG that you're talking about
I'm not sure weaver was ever slated as badly as the incident I'm talking about, nor subbed at half time. I think it was dibble or margetson and we went 3 down in a big game- and every goal was a goalkeeping error. Weaver was a bit of a hero. He wouldn't have got that abuse, I don't think.

It was dibble he had a nightmare felt sorry for the lad...

Wow DD, you,ve just brought back a whole load of memories there..spot on with the poisonous crowd..i was part of the kippax in those days..how desperate must we have been to chant "what the fuck is going on?".dark dark days indeed....loved being a blue then tho....vent your anger on the kippax, rush round to the main stand on final whistle to shout for swales,s head, make lots more noise til you got bored and retire to the sherwood for a a few pints and a sing-song...loved it!!
"What the fuck is going on?" is an all time classic!

And dont forget when the players coach being surrounded when we were beaten by stockport away "Your not fit to wear that shirt" We were angles in those days compared to some of the keyboard warriors on BM!

What about 1985, notts county away, win needed for promotion. 3-0 down at half time so 50 of our casuals broke into the dressing room to shout abuse at billy McNeil and the team.

Imagine the indignation from the bluemoon über-fans if there was an Internet back in those days!

Does it really matter if Mario has said it or not anyway?
I'm pretty sure I've said similar over the years about people I've worked for but I rarely meant it; it was more a means of venting and letting off steam.

Didn't McNeil have to go on the mic at half time to get the fans to leave the pitch? I think there were over 8,000 blues at that game.

We are going in circles and clogging up this thread. To end my side I do not believe Mario told Zim that he hates Mancini.

I do not believe Mario hates Mancini and Zim Mario is not my idol far from it. He is like a kid to me a little brother. A female friend got me a Balotelli shirt and I have never worn it. I do not look up to him he just needs defending when attacked for no reason.

Yes, there was a riot. 13,000 city were there. I don't think any film of it has ever surfaced either. If you have the programme from the Charlton promotion game there's a great picture on the cover. I begged my dad to take me but he wouldn't because he said there would be trouble. He wasn't wrong...
