Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini believes Mario Balotelli could be the 'perfect fit' for Liverpool - but insists they will still miss Luis Suarez. Liverpool are understood to be closing in on a £16million deal to bring the former City forward Balotelli to Anfield and Pellegrini feels he could be a big hit at Anfield.

"I think Mario Balotelli is a very good player. He went from Manchester City to Italy but I think he can play everywhere he wants."

Don't understand the flack Balotelli is getting on here.
A very talented player and instrumental in us winning the league in 2011/12
or have you forgotten his hold up play for Aguero's goal against QPR and the Two goals and great play that led to the Sick Swan (amongst others)...

He's just eccentric and in many ways I wish he was still with us - but referees NEVER gave him the benefit of the doubt (unlike Rooney's many transgressions) so probably best for him to move on.

The best memory though is that he bought my wife and I dinner at the San Carlo restaurant when he came in to pick up one of his £100 "Italian Takeaways". We were waiting to be seated and his arrival and the subsequent kerfuffle caused a delay. Unlike nearly all celebs he realised this and insisted that we were seated first - apparently he saw my City badge on my jacket lapel and instructed the manager to give us our meal free. It came as a pleasant surprise when i went to pay the bill. But there you go.
