balotelli elbowed at stoke

Every time I watch a game now, I do it from the Balotelli angle - "if mario had done that he'd have been red-carded". There was an incident in the Utd-Wigan game where Welbeck was yellow carded for a knee high lunge. Had it been Mario he would have been red carded without a doubt and it would have been on the back page of every paper today.

He will have to get through a season of not putting a foot wrong and then maybe he will get treated fairly

It's his own fault.

I see what you are saying "boy who cried wolf" and all that. But isnt it the Refs job to separate the dives from the fouls on a non bias basis?

I doubt even that would make a difference to be honest. It's one rule for Mario and another for everybody else.

I agree with what others have said in that he does bring it on himself sometimes but it's getting beyond a joke now. If he had elbowed Wilkinson everybody here knows that he would of been sent off and the press would of been all over him.

MOTD did at least show the incident.

Clattenburg really is the most incompetent/biased ref we come up against now that Walton has been shipped out to America. As soon as I heard that he was reffing the Stoke match I realised the most we were going to get from the game was a point.

Ever since he was the helpless man in the middle in the 1-6 Derby he has tried as hard as he can to make up for it by being a incompetent/biased twat to us in the 3 games he has 'officiated' since. Anyone who saw his performance in the Chelsea away match last season will know what I am talking about right away. One that goes under the radar would be the 2-0 v Bolton last season were he tried his best to keep Bolton in the game for as long as he could until Balotelli scored with about 15-20 mins to go. In a game where we had nigh on 70% possession, we committed 15 fouls and they committed 7, and I swear I could almost see him give up the ghost when Balotelli scored the second.

Now to yesterday, he lets Stoke have a goal which certainly would not have been allowed at the other end of the pitch, then he lets a fair penalty claim go, is looking right in the direction of a blatant elbow and does nothing & in a game where Stoke bully and kick us all game long only bothers to book a City player.

I'm sure the usual AA brigade (Anti Agenda) will be on this like flies round sh*t but you have to look at the facts, a referee who had been the official in 6 united games the season before suddenly does not have a game reffing them in almost a year, and at the same time turns in 3 really incompetent/biased performances against us. If you feel like there's no connection there you're either very trusting or completely deluded.

When will we hear whats happening on this, anything less of a ban for the stoke player, forget who it is, is a travesty.....

wasnt even mentioned on the bbc summary...........wtf?
Don't know what you were watching on MOTD but I've just watched it and both the commentator and Hansen said it should have been a red card after they showed a zoom-in replay of it.

Do people just make up things in their head to suit their argument?

The OP isn,t talking about MOTD tho is he?
Where does he mention MOTD?

He is referring to the online bbc match report, which i read, and guess what? theres no mention of the nasty elbowing of the centre forward who plays for the champions of england.

the OP makes a valid point and can hardly be accused of making things up to suit an argument.

The boy who cried wolf.

It should've been a red, but not given because of his history of going to ground too easily. Shame really.
Really?

Its the fact that Clattenburg is a **** with us. Balotelli got clearly elbowed or are you also saying Silva never got the penalty against Chelsea because he is a diver?

Both blatant and both not given by Clattenburg.

Same as Crouch's handball which was clear and without it how was it possible to move the ball around Lescott? who ironically was penalized by Clattenburg for having a ball blasted at his hand against Chelsea.

Thank fuck it was caught on camera then. Not that I expect it to make any difference.

Maybe Balotelli will receive a ban for forcing the lads elbow into his face?

He is to blame for everything including 9/11.
