just like it's his own fault when he receives racist abuse, right?

I see what you are saying "boy who cried wolf" and all that. But isnt it the Refs job to separate the dives from the fouls on a non bias basis?

But they do and will unfortunately, so it's better to be a professional and just get on with it.

Clattenburg really is the most incompetent/biased ref we come up against now that Walton has been shipped out to America. As soon as I heard that he was reffing the Stoke match I realised the most we were going to get from the game was a point.

Ever since he was the helpless man in the middle in the 1-6 Derby he has tried as hard as he can to make up for it by being a incompetent/biased twat to us in the 3 games he has 'officiated' since. Anyone who saw his performance in the Chelsea away match last season will know what I am talking about right away. One that goes under the radar would be the 2-0 v Bolton last season were he tried his best to keep Bolton in the game for as long as he could until Balotelli scored with about 15-20 mins to go. In a game where we had nigh on 70% possession, we committed 15 fouls and they committed 7, and I swear I could almost see him give up the ghost when Balotelli scored the second.

Now to yesterday, he lets Stoke have a goal which certainly would not have been allowed at the other end of the pitch, then he lets a fair penalty claim go, is looking right in the direction of a blatant elbow and does nothing & in a game where Stoke bully and kick us all game long only bothers to book a City player.

I'm sure the usual AA brigade (Anti Agenda) will be on this like flies round sh*t but you have to look at the facts, a referee who had been the official in 6 united games the season before suddenly does not have a game reffing them in almost a year, and at the same time turns in 3 really incompetent/biased performances against us. If you feel like there's no connection there you're either very trusting or completely deluded.

Absolutely spot on but you are wasting your time expecting the deluded minority on here to open there eyes.

No, not just like when he receives racist abuse, and if you can't see the difference then goodness me. You can't really compare the two, since one is something Mario Balotelli has no control over (being racially abused by others) and the other is something he certainly can (his attitude on the pitch which is UTTER SHITE at times).

If each of us City fans had a pound/dollar for every time Mario Balotelli has gone to ground in a City uniform and then angrily swung his arm, we'd all be filthy rich. Sometimes, he is truly fouled but others he is just a whinging ****.
If you consider having about £20 as being filthy rich then you may be right.

I remember that Bolton game and I was furious at the time, every SINGLE tackle we did was a foul and they got away with everything! I hate this guy but the thing is we have to win games whether the ref likes us or not like we did in that Bolton game, if you are good enough and can put the ball in the back of the net you will win no matter what!

It seems that for a few people who really want Balotelli to be a success (well, we all do, but let's say those who want to believe he is as good as the hype says......) their assessment of him in most matches, their defence of him when people say that he has consistently failed to make an impact again, is that "he did one or two great things".

Anyone who had the misfortune of watching Samaras' City career will recognise that argument as a version of the defence that a lot of people (more people than who will admit it now) used to argue that Samaras would go on to be a top player.

With Samaras it was "he showed one or two flashes of class" every time he had a 90 minutes that was ineffective, soft and full of mistakes and giving the ball away. It almost sent me mental, hearing that crap about him, week after week.

Doing one or two good things over the course of 90 minutes is not a positive for anyone. It should be a damning criticism of a professional footballer. 90 minutes and they can only manage two instances that are worthy of praise? I don't think so.

Not to suggest that Balotelli and Samaras are of a similar talent. But it seems that they are comparable in some aspects of their performances and the way that they are 'excused' for it in the hope that what is happening on the pitch is not an indicator of their true level.

Er, that was meant for the other Balotelli thread. Doesn't make sense here (or elsewhere, no doubt)

If that had been the other way round we all know that there would be a media witch hunt against Mario with the incident replayed on a loop by SSN every 30 minutes for days. He would be charged asap and receive a summary ban.

his display at the reebok that day was corrupt.

Exactly mate, the same press who say "his reputation precedes him" are the same people who create that perception in the first place.
