Balotelli - too many excuses, not enough end product

He AND Joe cost us a goal, but it would be daft to blame not going through the next round on them. Pathetic even.
 
The free kick was stupidity, I called it before he even did it, he could never win the ball from where he started his "track back", all he could do was concede a foul. Great free kick though, top marks to the guy for scoring.

BUT all us blues demand everyone of our players track back, well there you go, a damn good reason why attackers are attackers, and should, by and large leave defending to defenders.

This is a good post.

I agree, whilst watching at the match you could see as soon as he started running that it would end in a foul. And like you said, credit to Matias for scoring, it really was a peach.

We do it a lot as City fans, we demand and we're rarely happy with the result. Another example is when we rush Joe Hart and then when he kicks it into no man's land we all complain he should've taken a bit more time. We give away too many silly free-kicks and tonight we were finally punished.

I wonder how many on here would call him a disgrace if he dived for a penalty? From the angles I've seen the penalty incident last night, Aguerro blatantly dived. Can't see many posts about that. Oh, I'm not having a dig at Aguerro, as everyone does it now, but by Christ if it was Balotelli we'd have numpties on here saying he was not giving us a good name,and it would be getting shown on Sky every 5 minutes....etc, etc.
 
Mario is a big baby and babies get things wrong at times.

At 21 i thought i knew everything but i was wrong, i was a jumped up kid who was not very wise and prone to stupidity.

I dont get why people think because he is a footballer he is going to mature and act like a 30 year old as thats impossible as he just does not have the experience.

As a footballer Mario has real ability and given time and understanding, given space to mature and develop he will be one of the best players to ever wear our shirt.

What's wrong with Dzeko? Last night I thought he was brilliant, showed a great touch, commitment and desire for the team, what's wrong with any of that?
 
Balotelli is in transition he is becoming the finished article in front of your eyes. Remnants of the old Balotelli will linger but he as one foot on the stage of greatness. Be patient watch and enjoy.
 
No one is doubting his skill and ability, although I do think he's a tad over-rated when it comes to his end product. In a one on one situation I'm happier if Dzeko has the ball, yet Mario is the one touted as world class.

The fact is that we can not trust him at all. He's already shown his petulance on many, many occasions this season. In EVERY GAME, infact.

What if he gets sent off in the derby? Will the idiots still defend him then? Because it wouldn't surprise me if he did something very stupid.
