Balotelli.

I think it's great that we want to buy youngsters with world class potential, and ones that can go into the first team straight away.

But, I don't think we should be paying in excess of £20 million for this guy. He isn't the finished article yet, and you pay that kind of money for people who are, or at least close to it. Furthermore, I'd be worried about the risks of him being a trouble causer at City.

Also, how would he fit into the team?

In terms of Balotelli as a trouble causer, think Barton ... in a different way and without the cigars.

Utter bollocks. The two are in no way comparable.

Balotelli is more Bellamy than Barton.

Ballotelli would be awesome signing. He will mature with age. I believe he'll become better than even Torres, and would rather take him than Torres. Only problem I see is that we have so many good players that it's hard to come up with a good tactic so that everyone's happy.

bloody hell mr swales...you are a sensative soul arent you?!?!

Well at least you are honest that part of your opinion on one of the players i dont think is good enough is not based on a footbaling point of view (which mine is) but the fact that you know the player...thats fair enough i suppose...sticking up for a friend etc...i can understand that

yes i dont want those players you mention to play for city...but its not negaitve..i just dont think they are good enough....its a bloody opinion...if you dont like them fair enough....but im not being negative about the club....im just giving an opinion thats all

and again you fail to acknowledge the positive posts that i make....which there are numerous of....i like to give a very balanced view...but of course tha wouldnt suit your arguement would it

so here is one...i have criticised RM for his tactics (you would say this is negative)...howevevr when people were calling for him to be sacked at the end of the season i was one who said he shoudlnt besacked as it destablise the club and also because i thought he deserved a chance to show what he could do with his own players...i also said he had done a very good job in improving the defensive side of the teams game....

but people like you only see the first part....and fil to see the second and jump on their high horse about it!!!

Why some people come onto forums like this i dont know.....if you cannt handle other peoples opinions which you may not agree with then you shouldnt be here.....i love to debate about footbal (particularly city) which is what i do here...i will challenge peoples views but i certainly dont get annoyed/angry/whatever if someone posts something that i dont agree with..ill argue against it but never because it angers me

think you need to chill mate

i

need to wake up more than I need to chill, did not get half way through this post it is so dull simon; but regarding the player I know, and the one I do not know, I made no comment as to my view of their ability

again a boring non response, not debating a point of view about football...just a criticism of someone who posts an opinion on a website.......

lol

Hi, inter fan here.
I found this forum looking around opinions from MC fans about Balotelli.
I've decided to post since I've been reading some things that are obviously wrong.
First of all: Yes, Balotelli has been racially abused, but not as much as you make it sound. The thing is, Balotelli is a jerk, as a person, and that's it. For example: http://www.goal.com/en/news/10/ital...-balotelli-given-police-warning-following-toy.

He's been abused especially by Juve and Chievo fans and in some other stadiums. He enjoys provoking other team's fans and behaving like an asshole to everyone.
He's neved been racially abused by his own fans, he's been whistled because he's done some very bad things. Apart from having zero workrate and teamwork he's lazy and when things don't go his way he starts doing stupid things like diving (let's see how that goes in England where everyone hates it) and kicking opposition players so he always finishes the match with a yellow card.

He once refused to sit on the bench because he thought he should have started before Eto'o and Milito, so Mourinho sent him to the stands. He insulted Mourinho and the whole team in the locker room once and that's why he didn't play for 2 months. During this 2 months he wore Milan's shirt on TV which as you can imagine it's an insult to the whole Inter team, staff and fans. When he was getting back on the team the Barcelona incident happened, he wasn't being racially abused he was being whistled for behaving like a prick during the most important match of the season when Inter were barely holding a 3-1 lead. After that he continued acting stupid until the end of the season knowing that Mourinho had to play him because we had too many matches and Pandev was injured.

He also could have got the starting spot when Eto'o went to the African Cup but he lost it to the new signing Pandev because he didn't do anything, not even run, for 2 matches and we drew against Siena at home, dead last team of Serie A.

It may seem that I'm being too harsh on him but that's how he is and that's also why he's hated so much everywhere except at S.Siro. Even after all this I don't want Inter to sell him. I think he's got the ability to become one of the best players in the world if he gets his mind sorted out. I'd like him to stay at Inter one more year until we decide that he's a lost cause.
If you sign him he'll be capable of doing the best and the worst things all in the same match.

I hope you understand my point.

Zero workrate - i totally agree, i have seen in quite a few matches where he was brought in during the 80th minute and still he wouldnt run and put pressure on defenders , he would just be strolling on the right side hoping someone gives him the ball whereas teammates like cambiasso and sneijder would be sweating their socks around.Another odd habit of his to go for long range shots when there is clearly no one ahead of him , so he could run easily towards the goal or to pass to someone who is at better position. It would be a big gamble on this guy and i would rather prefer dzeko.

My biggest worry about this kid is that you hear stories about him kicking off because he hates being on the bench at a huge club like Inter Milan, can you imagine how he might react to being a sub at our club ?

£20 Million or a deal with Robinho has been in the press this morning.

What I do find hard to understand is why are we not giving Robinho one last chance to prove himself??

He had a good first season and admittedly was poor last season and there are question marks over his attitude etc, but his World Cup performaces were fantastic for Brazil and if he could continue that into the new season with us then he would be like a new signing.

Surely with the new players we have brought in and are looking to bring in the future, he can see where we are trying to go??

Just seems we are looking to get rid at the first opportunity when really let's be honest, he is a better player than the player we are trying to sign.

I know lots of fans say get rid and I do understand that totally (I indeed have been one of those) but thinking about it, should we give him one last chance or is there something we don't know and therefore have no choice but to sell?

Would be a shame to lose a World Class player like him but a lot of his problems are his own doing I suppose!!!
