£20 Million or a deal with Robinho has been in the press this morning.

What I do find hard to understand is why are we not giving Robinho one last chance to prove himself??

He had a good first season and admittedly was poor last season and there are question marks over his attitude etc, but his World Cup performaces were fantastic for Brazil and if he could continue that into the new season with us then he would be like a new signing.

Surely with the new players we have brought in and are looking to bring in the future, he can see where we are trying to go??

Just seems we are looking to get rid at the first opportunity when really let's be honest, he is a better player than the player we are trying to sign.

I know lots of fans say get rid and I do understand that totally (I indeed have been one of those) but thinking about it, should we give him one last chance or is there something we don't know and therefore have no choice but to sell?

Would be a shame to lose a World Class player like him but a lot of his problems are his own doing I suppose!!!

How many times does he need to say he doesn't want to come back before people believe him?

I'm with you nev, it's not just about him having another chance... he clearly wants away from city and the prem imo and i don't think Bobby thinks too much of him either.

Clearly a very talented individual..however will never reach the top of the footballing echelons due to a poor attitude and lack of self motivation and ambition imo.

Bit like your motivation to find a job ;)

Hehe.

I'm beginning to feel sorry for the poor lad. I'm picturing him going on bluemoon every now and again, reading that people still expect him back and thinking "bleedin hell, they still don't get it" before stomping off to the Brazillian press...

If he comes back to City it'll be because nobody else will pay his wages & he has no choice. In that case he'll have to decide if he wants to continue being a footballer or just sit on his arse. Trouble is it'll be August if he does come back & he'll have about 5 players in front of him for a place in the team.

Heads up, guys, we may have competition for Balotelli, from...Inter?

According to insidefutbol.com, Inter have come up with a novel way of raising money for the Mascherano deal. They're going to raise funds by selling Balotelli to themselves, apparently.

I'll quote the story for you before I link because I suspect that someone is going to spot this and correct it :(

Inter are moving closer to selling Mario Balotelli to Inter for €35M and when the money is received the European Champions will instantly put it to use. Rafael Benitez is keen to snap up Javier Mascherano from former club Liverpool and selling Balotelli will help to bag the Argentina midfielder.

Robbie has to go this summer.

If we can't offload him before September, then in effect he will get to next summer with one year left on his deal...

One of two things will happen

His value will diminish so much that we'll end up getting £8m for him OR he'll sit his last year out & pocket a free move.

I'd rather sell the little fecker now, & get the cash, all he's done is mouth off in the press & run away.....

If he has to go then fine, but I hope they don't sell him until we have all our targets signed.....No doubt his bleating to the press will be very much anti city and we don't want our targets being put off.

Anyway let's get back to BarryTello,,, :)

on his way to bolton then ;)

balo definately comes with baggage.....the question RM has to ask himslef is he worth it??

bellemy was the same and MH sorted him out and RM seems to have managed that as well

if RM thinks he can sort him out then fair enough....the guy has a lot of potential and is only young so if we pay 25-30m it could be a very good investment and we cold have a very god player no our hands....
