lets just walk away from this transfer and go and get an other striker

Ah, I hope you are being sarcastic. If you aren't, all I can do is shake my head at that comment. Mario could very well be one of the elite strikers in the world in just a couple of years time and Roberto will certainly get the best out of him due to their relationship. With all the time they have put into this transfer, and the comment Roberto has made about this deal, you do not just walk away.

Dunno if this has been posted but...

The saga regarding Inter striker Mario Balotelli's proposed move to Manchester City continues as his agent Mino Raiola has suggested he is aiming to strike a deal by the summer transfer deadline.

The Citizens have been linked with a big-money move for the talented youngster all summer but a deal has yet to be finalised. 'Super Mario' earned his first call-up to the senior Italian national side and is expected to start for the Azzurri in their friendly against Ivory Coast on August 10.

"At the moment I can exclude this, because there are negotiations ongoing," he was quoted as saying by AGI/ITALPRESS when asked whether the teenager would remain with the Nerazzurri for the foreseeable future.

"I'm working, until the end of August there is still time. We are working towards an agreement between the two parties."

MEN suggest that the official package for Balos salary etc has been finalised, but its City still haggling ref the actual Transfer Fee with Milan !!
This shit never ends.

First it's Inter, then Raiola, then Inter, then Raiola. This is about the seventh or eighth time that the supposed hold up has shifted between the club and the agent.

Spuds this weekend. Balotelli will be available from Wednesday after the Italy match. Get this done by then, he'll have no time at all to prepare.

Good on us too. A few posts back someone said about why are haggling over this when we blew all that dough on RSC. Whilst I know what the poster meant, that is exactly why we aren't being held to ransom anymore, and for future credibility in the market I think its a good thing. At the end of the day Balotelli has made his bed at Inter, there is no way he can play for them again, therefore if its 'just' a few million we're haggling over, my guess is that Inter will be the ones who have to buckle, and we won't be seen as mugs who pay massive fees willy nilly. My respect for Mancini and the whole management set up, (bar fucking mr potato head), grows on a daily basis, it feels well and truly professional right now, something i've never noticed before anyway.

If the difference is 4 million, why cant we compromise
and pay 3/4s of that!! FFS 3 or 4 million just pay the bastard fee rather than being picky and delaying it for weeks on end!!

Personally i cant see this deal going through

What are you basing that on?

There's no way this isn't going to happen, in my opinion. Balotelli has nowhere else to go, Benitez will want some cash to bring in his own players, Mancini wants Balotelli, both clubs and agent have spent ages working on the deal, no-one will want that time to be wasted.
