The agent of Mario Balotelli claims that Manchester City have shown an interest in the Inter Milan striker.

Arsenal and Real Madrid, who are now managed by former Inter boss Jose Mourinho, are among a number of European clubs to have been linked with the 19-year-old over the summer.

Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti said at the end of June that he did not want to sell £28million-rated Balotelli, but the Italy Under 21 international has yet to state his commitment and has admitted to being flattered by rumours regarding Arsenal.

However, if Arsene Wenger is planning to make an offer for Balotelli he could struggle to compete with the financial muscle of City and the attraction for the forward of a reunion with Roberto Mancini, the man who gave him his Serie A debut.

Balotelli's representative, Mino Raiola, told Sky Italia: "There is interest from Manchester City, but certainly this is not the only team that thinks seriously about Mario Balotelli.

"I don't want to say that an offer is coming. I'd rather not talk about figures, it is a decision of president Massimo Moratti."

Inter sports director Marco Branca has maintained the party line of Rafa Benitez's club by insisting that Balotelli is not for sale.

Asked about speculation of a €40million (£33m) offer from an unnamed club, Branca told La Gazzetta dello Sport: "He is not for sale so there are no discussions."

Bluff sounds like The Sting trying to inflate the price. What's he done?

A complete nutjob, but he has the potential to the best Striker in the world.

He's very young so even if he flops he'll still have good resale value. For 25 million he'd be well worth it.

Oh and he's not quite 20 yet, so would not need be registered in the 25 for another 2 years which is a very nice bonus.

-- Tue Jul 06, 2010 12:11 am --

He wore the shirt of his rivals for a laugh.

Ade was slaughtered when he wore an Arsenal training top when his mind was a billion miles away.

He wouldn't last here unfortunately.

He wouldn't last on this forum anyway, I say we buy him and take the heat off Platt!

Agent reveals Manchester City offer for Inter star Mario Balotelli

Mino Raiola confirms bid but insists his client will stay put...

The agent of Inter striker Mario Balotelli has confirmed an offer for the enigmatic striker has come in from Manchester City.

But Mino Raiola was quick to point out that his client would not move to England, saying he will stay at the Nerazzurri.

"Mario is relaxed and tranquil. His situation is very clear," Raiola told Gr Parlamento. "In the world, there are players that are not for sale.

"The offer from City is a reality, but I do not need to say it. He will stay at Inter.

"There will be no negotiation process."

This little twat of an agent is even worse than Yaya's.

I get the distinct impression that this is gonna happen.
No source, no ITK info, just instinct.

Anybody agree?

Inter Milan have turned down an offer for striker Mario Balotelli from Premier League side Manchester City, according to the player's agent.

Balotelli was dropped from the team for several games earlier this year by former coach Jose Mourinho because of his poor attitude.

However, the 19-year-old has three years left in his contract with the Nerazzurri and is set to remain at the San Siro.

"Was there a real offer from City? Yes, there was but it is not for me to say," Balotelli's agent Mino Raiola told Gr Parlamento.

"Mario Balotelli's situation is calm.

"He is an Inter player. There are no negotiations, hence, he will remain at Inter."

I just cant see this deal being getting dunn without us paying atleast 50 mil.

sorry if alredy posted , I would be disappointed if we got him , he is a very good young player , but with the great names we have been linked with e.g torres dzeko and ibra I think it would be a let down

I'd be fine with it, we have Ade and Tevez (hopefully) as a first choice pairing, Balotelli can be the young understudy. He seems to type who could come on and change a game with something a bit special. Can also play a few different roles, out wide or slightly deeper.
