Fucking hell. Now I know how it must feel to be a teacher of a remedial class. A man had his spine severed. Fuck the property. And why weren't you collywobblers on here decrying the white riots at Ohio state recently? Or the riots by white surfers on a beach in California? I know why - The Sun didn't report them!

Now, I REALLY must go. The need to prove I'm right does get the best of me sometimes. Bye!
Are you still condoning the destruction of innocent peoples' property then (homes, businesses, cars) by opportunists of whatever colour, in whatever part of America (or elsewhere) it happened, simply because the vandals have a problem with the police?

Peoples lives > property. Property has insurance on it, it can be rebuilt. Freddie Gray and other like him who have been unjustly murdered by the hands of police can't be brought back. Focus on the real issues here.
Here is what people are actually saying in Baltimore:

"Gardner said she — like most African-Americans in Baltimore — is deeply upset about the death of Freddie Gray, allegedly at the hands of police.

But Gardner said she didn’t recognize the people who starting lobbing bricks at cops and looting businesses after Gray’s funeral on Monday.

“These guys aren't from here, they go from place to place causing trouble,” she said. “This doesn't accomplish anything. This is our neighborhood."

So a woman actually from the community says she doesn't recognize those actually causing trouble so it isn't a simple "why are they destroying their own community" the answer is they aren't.

Also: "Tony Banks, 48, said the destruction makes him sad, but he understands why the young men in the West Baltimore section lashed out violently against the police.

"This isn't just about Freddie Gray,” he said. “There have been a lot of Freddie Grays in this neighborhood. It's been going on for years. You have to look past Freddie Gray. Past last week. You need to look back 10 years."

Banks said many residents fear the six officers suspended after Gray died under suspicious circumstances on April 19 will never be charged with a crime.

"People feel these officers never get indicted,” he said. “The police do a lot and get away with it."

Bishop Douglas Miles: "This part of the city is neglected,” he said. “Forty years of neglect. There are few after school programs for kids. They don't know where to go. It's a community under siege by the ills of society. We have high incarceration rates. High crime. High rates of addiction."

No wonder, said Miles, people are fed up.

"We tell the mayor, just come here,” he said. “

PM me your address and I'll come stick a brick through your window.

I'm only doing this because I'm annoyed at the actions of the Police so I'm sure you'll have no problem with it

You haven't really thought this through as to why the number of black people is higher than whites in prison have you? As we continue to see white police officers not going to jail for unjustly murdering black citizens for starters. You also didn't think through the fact that blacks are given harsher sentences for the same crimes as white people didn't you? You have real nerve.

I would guess more black people are in Jail - as they commit more crimes than white people?
Far too logically I'm afraid.

Actually white people commit more crime. Remember those numbers about white people accounting for 64% of the entire population? By sheer numbers, white people commit more crimes. Shocking??? NO!
More black people are in jail because they are given HARSHER SENTENCES for the same crimes committed by white people.

Lol, this really made me laugh

I'm gonna guess he's not. I'd assume its more a "treat the disease rather than the symptom" approach

It made you laugh because you're a nincompoop. Look up the phrase, "straw man". It might spark something in the vast industrial wasteland that doubles as your brain. But I won't hold my breath. Would love to continue to chat with you, but my flight has been called. Bye all!

So logical that according to the FBI it simply isn't true.

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/crime-in-the-u.s/2012/crime-in-the-u.s.-2012/tables/43tabledatadecoverviewpdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/cr ... verviewpdf</a>

That told me that 13% of the American population (the black community) commit over 34% of the crimes.

But not more crime than whites. If all the people who committed a crime were equally punished then then way more whites would be being locked up than blacks, which simply isn't the case.

Imagine a population of a town split with 5 black people in it and 50 white people.

1 black person commits 50 crimes.
50 white people commit 1 crime.

Which section of the community has more an issue when it comes to crime, the whites or the blacks?

because the way you look at it and the way that it actually is are two different things.
Your reasoning would be.

Total crimes = 100 black people account for 50% and whites 50%, black community is only 9% of the population but account for 50% of the crime, therefore black people commit more crime than whites.

There's eye witness and visual evidence showing the city of Baltimore entrapping the community. So only if it was just that easy to not commit the crime when the city shuts down the mass transit used for members of community to get to and from home. Then arresting folks for trespassing as they try to find alternate routes home. People were blocked off and forced into the the "riot zone" when all they wanted to do was go home. There's also visual evidence of police officers throwing bricks/rocks and whatever else at people first trying to incite more of a riot.

They get harsher sentences because they are repeat offenders, quite simple... If you are stupid enough to commit crimes over again, then you deserve as you say "HARSHER SENTENCES"......

Nice reach, this isn't happening throughout the city. It's happening in the west side of Baltimore, a city that isn't very big. People aren't coming from all over America, she's a member of the community who's day-to-day job sees plenty of people many who will frequent her former establishment over time. So if she's saying that she doesn't recognize the people who are actually committing the crimes in her neighborhood, they are most likely not from the neighborhood. She is speaking specifically on the people who burned down her house and others around it as well as her now former job.

Actually, no. It may surprise you, but not everybody has/can afford home/business insurance, particularly in a crime-riddden area where premiums are going to be higher than elsewhere.

But it's not just against the Police (not that it would be right either). Innocent people of all races are suffering at the hands of the rent-a-mob.

So because this one woman who has a vested interest in proclaiming these people aren't from this community, has stated that these people aren't from this community then she is absolutely definitely right and to be trusted.

I do enjoy some of the weird acrobatics being done in this thread.

End of the day, it doesn't matter where they come from... .Blacks are destroying its own community, whether they come from Chicago DC or La....
Biggest threat to blacks are other blacks..

"The city has paid about $5.7 million since 2011 over lawsuits claiming that police officers brazenly beat up alleged suspects. One hidden cost: The perception that officers are violent can poison the relationship between residents and police."

"Largest payouts
Baltimore has paid $5.7 million since January 2011 for settlements and court judgments in lawsuits accusing city police officers of false arrests, false imprisonment and excessive force. Virtually all of the people who won large awards were cleared from criminal charges."

They were throwing Molotov's and very flammable stuff. All I could do was beg them not to burn my house."

That's how I was able to read that the article stated that she didn't recognize those fighting with the police...

Good thread this I have learnt

Yank cops like killing people
Black and white people can be cunts but blacks are worse or better
Black people like air Jordan's
