Bigga said:Not that you're privvy to every post I've ever written, but your assumption is so far off point it's ridiculous. If you bothered to digest what I said in the last few pages, I didn't condone the violence and looting. I also said that violence against White people was attacking their own community.
You're actually proving my point here. You're talking of "violence against white people as attacking their own community". I don't need to make to a distinction on skin colour here, only on residence. I see the Manchester community as colourless so when somebody attacks a white person, I don't see a white person being attacked but a person being attacked.
Let me ask you, when a White policeman shoots a a Black person and it makes the news, what goes through any White cop's head to continue the aggressive actions of his predecessor and not learn from it? That's no longer a 'fuckup', but just not giving a fuck. These things didn't happen on the same day, this has been a 6 month spread, in the spotlight, at least.
Maybe that whether the person is black or white, they should be treated the same? Because black people who run from the Police in a high crime area (which is what this whole thing is based on) should be treated the same as white people running. Not differently. And in this case they didn't seem to be
Well, believe it or not, yes, race plays a part of life in the States. You can't get away from it cos of the impact of the Slave Trade. That's a fact, not an excuse. Nobody seeks to play the 'race card' cos its ingrained into the very fabric of society.
Firstly, I didn't say it didn't I said that it shouldn't. Secondly, absolute bullshit. A massive amount of countries including the UK had a major history in the slave trade both economically and racially and not just confined to black people either. The US is not special nor distinct in either its role in the slave trade nor its treatment of slaves. It is however the only country who are completely chained by it as part of their history to the point of creating division.
What's the difference when Bush can introduce a Black face into the highest office and it's 'progressive' and when Obama does the same it's 'overboard'? This is a snapshot recall of the amount of abuse I've seen about the administration and I've sanitised what I've read. Race perception plays a part.
Again you're showing that you see white and black people as different. I see a person, you see a person's colour.
You can think I'm racist all you want. If there was a situation that was heavily stacking against a demographic that just wanted to be treated equally and fairly, I would side on their side.
If that make me whatever you want it to, then so be it.
This isn't about demographics, it's about a very basic attitude towards equality that you do not hold.
