both of those were British bands, probably record company picks, Max Webster were great, still occasionally play them or Kim Mitchell, I'm sure Stray and Tyla Gang supported RUSH on early Uk toursI don't know Quartz or wild horses mate.
Always seemed a strange selection as support act, bet they were double hard as fuck after that tour ;-)They went down as well on the whole tour apparently. They were hated on sight for having dyed hair, wearing make up and women's clothes. (Ditto Girl two years later!) ..... Ironically the same thing those hating them would enjoy with the 'Hair Mekkul' bands a few years later. :D
I saw Max Webster in the cafeteria at the local high school over here. That was erm.. memorable. : )both of those were British bands, probably record company picks, Max Webster were great, still occasionally play them or Kim Mitchell, I'm sure Stray and Tyla Gang supported RUSH on early Uk tours
Did Lee Aaron ever make it over there?

They were at their peak then for sure.Always seemed a strange selection as support act, bet they were double hard as fuck after that tour ;-)
That gig of BOC was the dogs bollocks, the band were tight and the laser beams bouncing of that rotating mirror ball just blew everyone away, happy days.
Saw them play Salford Uni. Realistically, no band with two such pissheads as Bain and Robbo was destined to last...Quartz were a heavy metal band from Birmingham IIRC, bit Sabbathesque.
Wild Horses featured Brian Robertson (ex Thin Lizzy) and Jimmy Bain (ex Rainbow). Saw them headline in at least one club gig as well as a support act. Got one of their albums on cd.
