Does anyone here know many since our club became blessed with so much money?

It makes my blood boil walking around Manchester and seeing a hell of a lot more people wearing City tops than just a couple of years back. In fact I actually feel a twinge of bitterness about it to be honest!! Yes, I know it's irrational, but I can't help thinking 'gloryhunter!' Even have this neighbour who changed sides from United to City because he sees us as 'the next big thing'. Pathetic.

I acknowledge the positives - i.e more support in striving to become a global brand, however these people make me feel incredible sympathy for the long-suffering City fan. The ones (like me I cheekily add) that have been there through thick and thin *sighs*

i agree with you, i live in county durham, city is the only team i've supported and have done since 1977, and it's getting the same up here, it pisses me off and makes my blood boil.
Be fore they came into money, i think i was the only one in my home town who actually supported city, got the piss taken a lot because of it, but i believe if you support a team you support them through thick and thin.
the same happened in my home town when Blackburn suddenly came into money a few yrs back, you would see a load of people walking around in Blackburn tops.
Feckin gloryhunters.

Supporting yoonited can be seen as an 'affliction'... but not City. :-)

Don't know anyone who's 'changed' sides but I expect a lot of youngsters who might have gone elsewhere will be coming our way.

LOL I thought affliction was the word I was looking for, it means something completely different than I thought haha. I'll just use the more simple word 'sides'. :)

your neighbour was never a rag, he was and still is a plastic, he'll switch to anybody to feel he belongs, you have to pity him really, to be that weak must hurt him inside every day.

Or it could be that our current kit is absolutely shit hot, and people want to wear it.

You sound like one of indie music nerds who whinge that their favourite band sold-out and became mainstream. Fuck 5th place, fuck the Champs League, as long as I can still be seen to be 'edgy' and 'underground' by supporting City.

*facepalm*

Ha ha.

Two of my mates sons (9 years old) have recently become City fans both are Scottish and live in the south of England. I ahve NO problem with new City fans.

If we want to be the biggest club in the world we are not going to do it by just having fans who were here before the money or fans who are affiliated to Manchester. Unless of course some would rather we remain the club that cant fill its stadium week in week out (considering the owners want to expand.

Totally disagree- the club needs more fans and a lot more at that if we are to seriously rattle those at the top. The lads that have been going years still have all the loyalty points- so what does it matter?
