The pre-match stuff is fantastic. The more it pisses off those of a sensitive disposition, those who embarrass easily, those who cringe because they are frightened they might be associated with it, and somehow it reflect upon what other supporters think of them, the better. :-)

Mark my words, one day the club will introduce music when we score and you will regret your laissez faire attitude to the whole thing. :)
These type of divvies would love all that ,lancet. Pumping their arms towards The away fans to Tom Hark after a goal.

I suspect its closer than we think.

I have always suspected that music after goals would be a deal breaker for me to be honest, if it ever gets to the point where I am physically repulsed when City score then I'd have to stop going. However, if they do it, I hope they go the whole hog and play DJ Otzi just to teach the numbskulls who happily welcomed all the cheese a lesson.

Not as much as those fucking idiots who decided we should have a citizens movement, complete with a fucking Capo... ;-)

Same people, same mindset, levets, mate.

That lot were also chucking out accusations of "old man" to anyone who could see how cheesy it was.

And what a great success that was, eh?

DD you are one moaning ****hole is Mrs Didsbury some old wrinkly moaning boot and you have to let out all your anger on here? It has to be something, it's getting embarrassing now....... I feel for you.....

music after a goal would be the end for me. City are supposed to listen to the fans so , CITY , PUT THE BANNERS BACK UP .

I also love how in Germany the players celebrate with the fans after every game, these type of things are what makes football special from every other Sport.

Wish we had the fan culture that pretty much every other european and south american countries has. Even most Mls clubs have better atmosphere than most english clubs ffs.

More fans might stay until the end then too

Can't see it mentioned anywhere else, but noticed the Bluemoon thanks banner, Sixth day, Mercer and Allison etc banners all gone last night.

Any ideas why, or if they'll come back?

Because they've had a number of building projects running over the summer they ran out of time to install the permanent fan banners on levels 2/3, they'll be back up for the Hull game.

You're an old man, the pre-match entertainment isn't aimed at you. Times have changed, more of our support won't be fully local anymore and want to make a day out of going to the match, and the entertainment is part of that.

Who would have thought a bit of music and stuff before the game would upset the granddads so much?
Bet you're a WWE fan. I can just tell...

Your spider senses are wrong on this one.

I can't understand why anyone thought they'd gone for good. Its been a busy summer in the stadium, and I'm sure the club love them as part of the "matchday experience" that so many drone on about, so they'll be back I'm sure.

One thing though don't give the big banner to the CB stand pre game, upside down, inside out, and can't get past the player tunnel, bad idea that was.

I'm not against pre-game entertainment per se however that shower of shit that was put on before the game on Monday was an embarrassment. Fuckin kids screaming Aguerroooo and some sceeching witch damaging my ears. I'm only glad 99% of the geordie away support didn't see any of it as they were all having a bevvy on the concourse singing like proper fans should be. Leave all that crap outside in the square where it belongs then those that choose to listen to it pre-game can do - Outside. Leave the inside of the ground for those that want to sit with a coffee and read their fanzine or programme and listen to a serious interview with manager or players or guests from the past etc Then watch the players warm up, smell the linament and the earthy smell from the pitch and grass and let the atmosphere build naturally as the ground fills. All that without interruption from those media sycophants screaming into microphones making twats out of themselves.

The only one of the big banners that's always bugged me is the "we're not really here" one, no deep reason - it just does! It's right opposite so i don't think that helps my dislike!! Also why have some in this thread said that the club made the banners and how pathetic it is we didn't do our own as fans....? Errrrr.... fans made the banners, and the club just put then up.. that's right isn't it? Not like so many on here to get it wrong! ;)

As for pre match.... i find the new initiative of having thumping music blaring out outside the main entrance a bit strange, whatever happened to crowds just turning up at matches?! "City square" seems to have spread to the main entrance. But i did find it very bad that the thumping dance music (which was what was on at 7pm (without meaning to sound a like an outdated 90 year old - i'm 38!) was not switched off while the memorial for Bert was taking place round the corner at the garden :( It was so loud it could still be heard even there.

I used to like "kick for cash" btw at half time, some numpty trying to get the ball through a tire hung on the goalposts. Other than that i'm not fussed either way!
