'oooohhhh... let's do what Dortmund do, it's mint'....

...is it fuck!

...It's pre arranged choreographed bollocks!

However, I must admit, I am a Grandad
How can you not like this

I also love how in Germany the players celebrate with the fans after every game, these type of things are what makes football special from every other Sport.

Wish we had the fan culture that pretty much every other european and south american countries has. Even most Mls clubs have better atmosphere than most english clubs ffs.

More fans might stay until the end then too

That would have me leaving immediately!! That is really cringeworthy!!

It's all part of the holistic experience - just watch out for the mind contolling drugs in the cockney pies.

I am not a number, I am a free maaaaaaaaa.........eeeeeerrrrrrrrr......mmmmmmmmmbbbblllllbbbbbbllllllllll...............

next season opinion will simply not be tolerated as we sing along to the scoreboards when instructed...

Are we gonna get one of those bouncy balls that bobs along the words! I like them!

What's all this 'leave the singing to the fans' before the game? I've whinged about this before. Apart from the Derby the majority of the supporters in the South Stand (can't see singing section from where I am) are under the stand before the game. Gone are the days when each player had his name called out when they were warming up. The players warm up at the opposite end of the ground to the fans too. It's been a long time since there was any effective mass singing in the stadium (not under the stands) before the game.
South Stand only gets filled 5 to 10 minutes into the game, it looks to me that nowadays a football match is just an excuse to get away from the other half and go out on the piss.

What do you mean nowadays? Hasnt it always been that?

The best orgasnised, planned "pre-match experience" was the lights off beofore a night match. Unfortunately, instead of saving it for one or two absolutely crunch matches - the Club did it to death. Even the Poznan became naff once it was consumed by the club Leni Riefenstahlesque (no nazi connotation being applied - before someone starts) marketing department/partners.
Once the club plugs into something the fans have had the creativity to come up with or the club themselves try to impose - it is immediatley not cool. That is why an independent body of fans needs to be included in these things. It's a cross between Euro Disney and a kids party at the moment. That isn't anti- kid - a football match should be like a rights of passage where you attend an adult event for the first time - not like going to your class mates party (ok! - a class mates form Bowden -but you get the gist).

I mean that the priority seems to be the booze over the game. In the good old days of woodbines & rickets you had to get onto the Kippax to claim your standing spot half an hour to 20 min before the game started.

I used to like "kick for cash" btw at half time, some numpty trying to get the ball through a tire hung on the goalposts. Other than that i'm not fussed either way!

I quite liked the 'closest to the halfway line' game, if only because it's fun to laugh at these grown men who think it's easy, saunter up and barely make the edge of the box.
Personal highlight, though, was 4 blokes trying to hoof a ball into the boot of a Jag.

Can't see it mentioned anywhere else, but noticed the Bluemoon thanks banner, Sixth day, Mercer and Allison etc banners all gone last night.

Any ideas why, or if they'll come back?

Because they've had a number of building projects running over the summer they ran out of time to install the permanent fan banners on levels 2/3, they'll be back up for the Hull game.
Thanks Howard. (Good to see the "Reddish Blues" one back up on Monday). ;)
