Corporate do get a separate allocation of good seats for champions league games.
10% of the general allocation
a lot more for this game mate

not sure you are correct. Firstly, for some reason, there are no Category 1 tickets available (apart from Club officials) for the Barca game, unlike all of the other away Champions league matches. For the other games, there have been about 200+ Cat 1 tickets which were offered to hospitality customers which meant there were actually more tickets available for the points system. secondly, the general allocation is nearer to 5% for the corporates and certainly not 10%.
So this time around, the corporates will have a larger proportion of the general tickets (4th tier), but still not at 10% of the whole allocation.

Lots of sympathy for those who have missed out but Barca is one of the easiest places to get tickets in the home section and there will be loads of City fans in there. It is also safe to sit in virtually any part of the ground because there are so many tourists. I sat with the Barca fans for the Joan Gamper match (a 96,000 sell-out) and it was great.

Perhaps some one would like to put forward a theory as to where the additional 1900 tickets we sold for Barca as opposed to Liverpool have gone then?

I doubt there are set percentage limits.

I am trying to find out how to book on the Leeds and Liverpool canal trip, setting off from Huncoat, climaxing on a aqueduct offering panoramic views of the ground, town and Pennine foothills. 'Premium' sausage rolls (Greggs not Pound Bakery!) and a flagon of Moorhouse's White Witch for every customer. Also a guest speaker reliving the Paul Lake physio story of 99 or the Hendry 'V Sign' after scoring in 91.

Any ideas where you book?

Mates with points buying tickets for mates without points. There's always big demand from non-regulars for European aways. The "points whore" thing is overplayed in my opinion. What's much moe common is people just helping mates out. I can't get angry about that as I've been both on both sides of that coin many times,

I agree with what you are saying DD but Liverpool away is incredibly popular
And yet it sold out at the same points level as Barca, where there are an additional 1900 points
Now if there were 1900 people with over 10000 points that didn't fancy a trip to Liverpool, or getting a ticket for a mate, doesn't it strike you as a little odd?

Arsenal for £32 selling out on 9k also supports Squirties comments.

The best away ground and half the price.

I don't know if you went to Barca last year, but there was a perceptible group of fans who wouldn't relish Stoke away on a wet Monday night

It was on a Wednesday and was dry :)

I don't know the figures at all, squirty,. Remember how many of our players and staff are Spanish or played there. I'd imagine that 3 or 400 will go to that lot, and I'd hazard a guess the same again to corporate. Maybe some to sponsors. This is guesswork of course but if you think we have 1900 corporate customers who would travel abroad I'd say you're miles out. We only have about that many corporate customers in total.
