Barca ticket prices announced

I am looking forward to this.

We are due a big CL game and this might be it. Roma was a turning point but this could be the day we finally tell everyone we are a serious threat.

It won't be easy and my gut feeling is we will lose over two legs but I would rather watch this than Hull at home. I will be there against Hull obviously but what a drab fixture that is!

Utterly pointless from the Beeb. Top level football is now part of the entertainment business, in 2013 Tom Cruise was paid $20m for the film Oblivion, are his earnings obscene, is the Beeb going to put up a similar page for him? If you don't like the money footballers are paid try cancelling your Sky/BT subs, stay away from matches and don't buy merchandise. It's supply and demand and presently satellite tv viewers around the world can't get enough of the PL and La Liga, if that changes the money coming into football will drop and so will wages. Italy's Serie A is a perfect example, that was flavour of the month 20-25 years ago but not any more.

A lot of people download illegal copies of films, I don't do this. I buy DVD's when they are on offer or watch on TV.

You supply me with a ticket if you care so much.

If you're issue is with not wanting to watch one team in the champions league and you take issue with them choosing to base their style around one player then why will you 'happily go' and watch them if someone else buys you a ticket?

I'm sort of with you on this. The CL is riddled with corruption. To pay that money out and then be cheated is a disgrace.

Football clubs pay them money they don't have, and are mostly in debt, therefore they are getting more than their real market value.

Otherwise why are Barcelona in so much debt when they have an enormous income?

That's not actually right. The real market value is what the market is willing to pay. Currently the market is willing to pay Messi 300k a week. Barca might have to go in to debt to pay it, but he could get that money elsewhere, so that's why they pay it.

It's like if you went to buy a Ferrari, the market price is 150k, you might be able to borrow that from the bank, you probably can't really afford it, but it will still be worth 150k brand new, because the market dictates that's what it's worth.
