Sterling was excellent.

And another thing

Very disappointed in my fav city player of all time just lately. Been ordinary compared with the standard he has set himself.
I really hope he is not on the downward curve. He shouldn't be as he is not that old for a pirlo type player

City are back!
City are back!

Lets embrace it because winning trophies against the odds will be so much sweeter.

Yes but.

If you don't take your chances, it matters little if your defence is shite.

Apart from Aguero and Nacho, all of our players are like rabbits in headlights as soon as they get near the opposition's goal. Silva is distinguishedly bad in this regard but they are all terrible.

We desperately need to improve our conversion rate or all the chances created mean nothing.
I thought the attacking play was good tonight. We really were unlucky and then put ourselves under pressure as we refused to put our foot through the ball and wanted to play football even with 10 men. We will get better because we are brave and putting ourselves under stress. That is how you improve

What is annoying me is that when we get a pass round the back to De Bruyne or Sterling, there are no good runs into the box for them to pick out a pass. It was just the same against Everton on Saturday. For all Dzeko's faults, making that run was one thing he was brilliant at. As for our corners!!!

I said in pre season that the team was ill equipped to play the type of football that Pep wants. And just like Mourinho he's pretty one dimensional The difference is he's one dimensional in an attractive way. But if I were Pep I'd be thinking why when I come to Spain do I keep getting dicked. It happened with Bayern twice and they have far better players than we do.

I suppose we will just throw money at it and wait for Messi to retire. But for me Ancelotti is a the best out there. He arrives at a club, surveys the scenes and adapts his style of play to the players at his disposal.

It will be enjoyable football this year but I will be surprised if we win anything. Too much comedy defending I am afraid and that is due to the coach demanding players do things that technically they can't.

Gives it away way too much and hides quite a lot. Then again our best chances always seem to come from his side!

That's the one thing Sterling never does. Always keeps his head up and keeps trying. He was the only one who bothered to run at Barca and he caused them problems and got one of them sent off.

This BS about luck and just individual mistakes . Here are some Rafa style facts

Top players make very few individual mistakes and make their own "luck" through graft , practice , hard work. being in the right place at right time and having the right mental attitude

We don't have enough top players

The manager picks the players and tatics he thinks they can cope with
