Barca v City Post Match Thread

At the end of the day we simply are not good enough.

We have defenders who go walk about, midfielders who misplace paces regularly and attackers who will not shoot or are dreadful at it when they do.

Pep will be compiling a list of those with no future and the areas he needs to strengthen, I hope some of the academy players get a chance.

I call out Otamendi because I am tired of seeing him facing our other defenders. He runs around like a Labrador that has found the feint scent of a woman on heat, sliding in 40 yards from goal, out on the left wing, out on the right, in fact everywhere but central defence. He is the Daniel Sturridge of defenders, plays for himself at the expense of the team. His style lends itself to looking excellent some games, winning tackles and sometimes dominant in the air but more often than not he is a primitive defender that costs us time and time again.
was also at fault for the 1st and 3rd goals especially the 1st just stood still watching messi stroll past him

Ok - so calmed down a bit and it's not all that bad - yes we have had a poor run which every team goes through, rather now than later. Several of the players are still learning a new way of playing, one which seems foreign to them, they will adjust or be moved on. We are still top of the league, qualifying for the next stage is still in our own hands, and we have a great manager. The only gripe for me is we need to get shut of our ageing full backs in Jan and we should be fine - Pep will know this. I'd also like to see more of Sane and some of the younger players given a chance.
Agreed, but it's a worry that management have yet to give the young fullbacks a chance, feels like lack of confidence in them. But I think the time has come to blood at least one fullback, maybe in a winnable home game.

Goals change games simple as that, time after time we are just not clinical enough in front of goal, this follows on from the Everton game, and more so in Europe it gets shown up more,as with the top top teams the majority of the time they have a chance they take it...

Dinho ?? are you joking
Dingo and Silva are you sure!
Thought Sterling played well but have real concerns about Bravo. We bought for him for ability with the ball at his feet but he looks he has never seen a ball!
He is quickly becoming a liability Willy in against the saints

Fuck me too much drama on here. Some people are just waiting for Pep to fuck up more to prove that he can't change/he is an idiot to have the playing out system. For starters Pep, Ota and Sterling come out with dignity, Pep got it spot on, we probably never had so many chances against a top team. Remeber those munich days or the madrid performance where we fucjing din't shoot even when in the semi and going out. Lucks not on our side, it will be, but no need to have the knives out, nothing to panic as such today. The inly game that worried me is the Spurs one.
