my tip Barcelona Reus airport is nowhere near barcelona (Ryanair) you have been warned !
But Ryan Air stick on a bus to take you to the City (nearly as long as the flight)

Flights booked, need a hotel for 4 of us, any recommendations? 3 star tops

Just booked a weeks all inclusive for £385 in Calella Sunday - Sunday.
It's about half an hour from Girona airport and then another 45 minutes from Calella to the Nou Camp.

Been to Barcelona loads of times and it's very safe as long as you keep your wits about you at NIGHT!

Accommodation wise I've stayed a few times in the Tryp Apollo hotel near the Las Ramblas which is excellent but there are numerous hostels nearby which are really cheap! You can pay on arrival at most of them!

Temperatures will be about 20 degrees in March, so it's t-shirt weather!

The Barcelona fans are fine and they rarely cause trouble and the stadium is huge but ageing, please note we will be high up in the gods for this one! The view isn't brilliant but the occasion is! The stadium is about a half hour walk from the top of Catalonia square where the top of Las Ramblas is!

The crime (pickpockets etc) is virtually all around the bars/ clubs at the port end of Las Ramblas at night!
THE PICKPOCKETS GENERALLY AREN'T SPANISH/CATALONIAN BY THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally, for the more cultured amongst us, visit the Segrada Familia which is simply amazing and is Gaudi's masterpiece! Barcelona is one of the worlds greatest cities!!

Enjoy blues!

Stayed here for the friendly in 2009 - they do some decent size high quality apartments up to 6 adults £35pp per night
Just Style - Passeig Sant Antoni, 30, Sants-Montjuïc, 08014 Barcelona
right on the railway station - tube easy to get around and a hop on hop off bus stop across the road, lots of cafe bars restaurants too.

PS you have to do the city tour - loads of culture worth seeing

For those of us flying to Girona, does ryanair always have BArcelona Buses waiting no matter what time the flight is? I've heard people mention this but can't see anything online, and would have thought that ryanair might mention it on their website or something? Or give a timetable or some sort of idea as to how many buses will be on
