my tip Barcelona Reus airport is nowhere near barcelona (Ryanair) you have been warned !

But Ryan Air stick on a bus to take you to the City (nearly as long as the flight)

Just booked a weeks all inclusive for £385 in Calella Sunday - Sunday.
It's about half an hour from Girona airport and then another 45 minutes from Calella to the Nou Camp.

Genius call on the all-inc mate , fuck it that's what l'm doing .

Who have you booked with ?

Mate lives about 2 hours north of Barcelona. He's had his bag snatched from the train luggage rack twice.
I don't know if you can put your bags on a rack above you or only in a rack at the end, but be wary.
He posted on facebook the other day that they now have 'mind your bag' graphical display posters on the train and only half jokingly said that he's going to secure his bags to the rack with a bike lock.

Another mate had his pocket dipped on the tram by a young woman as the doors opened, he just noticed in time and knocked his wallet out of her hand, the woman ran off. So don't think that all the pickpockets are men.

No more scare stories to tell you.

Spent part of my honeymoon this summer in Barcelona. Go and see anything Gaudi related, especially the Sagrada Familia. We stayed in the north part of town, at the AbAC Barcelona. Pricey, but we were pleased with the accomodations. They have a five star restaurant on the premises.

The best regular people food we had was at Casa Pepe near our hotel, but they have a main branch in the Sant Gervasi neighborhood off the El Puxtet stop of the subway. I got used to small beers at every meal.

Camp Nou is a bit of a hike from the metro, but there are average restaurants nearby. Make sure to leave enough time to see the museum at the stadium - you can watch several clips of Barca beating the Rags.

For those lucky enough to go, enjoy.

Cheers from New York.

Don't put your wallet in your back pocket

I had my pocket picked after the Real Madrid game. Packed subway carriage, ideal opportunity. And I'm fairly sure they hadn't been to the match. Fortunately I was staying overnight so had left cash and a spare credit card at the hotel.

If you have to take all your valuables with you, try to spread them about in different pockets so that they don't get the lot.

Return coach travel from the costa brava and costa dorada.
Girona airport for tossa de mar, lloret de mar, calella.
Reus for salou,port aventura,sitges.
About 100km(1hour) from Barcelona
Details to follow.

Anyone looking for a really good hotel, obviously at a price, try the Princesa Gran Sofia which is a 5*. Stayed there last time we played them in 2009.
5 minutes walk from the Nou Camp, and was an absolute pleasure to stay there. Would recommend to all willing to pay the price. I'm already booked on and can't wait, roll on March!

I'm in this one!!!

Really nice hotel, there's three of us in there. Hopefully there's a few blues in with us!

Las Ramblas the end near the port is rife for pick pockets. The are normally the Gypsys. Whilst one is trying to talk to you (Begging) a crowd tend to appear and one of them will go for your pockets. Another scam is they will try and shake your hand that has your watch on, grab watch and do a runner
