have sent a copy

Many thanks...

How serious is this?

I always keep my passport locked away in the hotel room safe. Ever since the missus had hers nicked 20 years ago. I've never been asked to produce my passport in Spain or anywhere else. Is this something peculiar to Barcelona?

Passport is staying in the hotel, nothing's getting photocopied.

Where's the hysteria come from for producing your passport/ Id. Unless there is trouble you will not need it.i have been stopped countless times in my car and I just play dumb.they don't want hassle of paperwork when it comes to trivial matters.relax guys and enjoy barca.

OK

The bars on or just off the La Rambla are a rip off. Trust me lads . PLease

head to an area called paral·lel /map to be posted* ( its very near ) also from here its very easy to get to the station of Les corts near camp nou ) Bars around there will be 1.50 estrella / 1.2 san meiguel

for 330ml estrella and 2.50 a pint. Tapas in the form of Patatas bravas 1euro to 3 for a big plate,

if you want cheap beer please dont go to the irish bars... look for normal local ones.. most these days been taken over by asiasins and chiense they tend to also give you free food depends were you are ...

more to come 1

We are staying and drinking near paral -lel , the designated away pub brigade on here will not listen and head straight for the Irish bars and every rip off shit hole on the Ramblas.

If youre staying at `parellel there bars on this street

95 carer Vila i Vila ... most bars on this small strip charge the same

https://maps.google.es/maps?q=nou+d...=es&ei=qfIZU4mxO8PG7Abdy4CYAw&ved=0CDIQ8gEwAQ

charge 1.5 a bottle for having it on the terrace plenty of shops near by to get carry outs. 2.5 for half a litre (dont do pints here )

There is the metro stop of parrelel right next to it and it will take you to Les Corts of which I think is the designated station.

watch out for the pickpokets in Barcelona they will pretend to join our songs / dances and be off with everything before you know it.

ESPICALLY ON THE LA RAMBLA AFTER THE GAME the prositutes mostly afriacan will be in your pants whilst robbing you.

I would just advise to steer away from the place period yes its in the center.. thats all..

If you can leave passports at your hotels and carry a photo copy of it or a drivers license.

Police are cunts here you better of shutting up if they ask you too otherwise what happend in Madrid will seem like a spanking a nursery.

I was gunna ask about the coppers mate, and how they compare to Madrid! (Surely they can't be as bad as in Amsterdam)!

I'm there for 4 days, with 5 lads from Salford and I don't plan on going on the Ramblas once from what I have heard!

BTW German police are the best I've encountered following City (closely flowed by the Polish in Poznan who were more interested in twatting the locals than City)

Sorry if already posted but lot to read through

Arrive at Barca airport just after 4 PM Monday

Any advise on how much it will cost to get into the City centre please by public transport

staying at
Carrer de Monlau, 8-10 Barcelona

Thanks

I have been told you can buy a train/tube ticket that gives you 10 journeys (including the airport) for about 13 Euros, I'm getting one at the airport. Been advised to avoid taxis at all costs, maybe Britinbarca can advise?

I certainly won't be carrying my passport about. I have never once been told that I need to carry ID when visiting mainland Spain/Baleraics or Canaries!

We get this at every away, remember Juventus when we were told you can't get in without ID!

Just hope all blues have a good and safe time!

As were there for four days I'm looking forward to not spending the whole trip in one Irish bar. Gunna do a bit of sight seeing and sampling the local delights!

After what happened in Madrid and more so Amsterdam I can't be arsed spending the whole time looking over my shoulder!
