I wouldn't want a prima Donna signing for us with an attitude that he was doing us a favour in doing so. Especially one who is 5 years past his best.

We're not that club anymore. Messi had his chance and he didn't want to do it. That was his choice, fair enough. Let the little dwarf bastard rot in a dying club. Its what he wants and deserves.

Ronaldo is, and has been for several years by far the better player. more athletic, better in the air, Better goalscorer and better team player. He is a freak of nature, the best player of the last 20 years. You don't often see him walking around the centre circle area looking disinterested.

Messi is 5 years past his best. Still a great player but way beyond the wrong side of 30.

but a pre contract will still leave him at barca for another 6 months

if city really want him and messi wants a new challenge and barca in need of money and cutting the wage bill then it the right time and barca get some sort of a fee. plus messi could play for city in champions league in the knockouts so again paying a fee even £70milion would be worth a punt and also give city that bit of a lift that is missing right now

for me the summer maybe to late because any impact messi will have on city would be another season away ? its got to be now to suit everybody and both city and barca would see it has they both got the right deal

what have city got to lose in going in with a fee of something like i said for messi to get the move done and dust right now ? we would recoup that in 6 months with messi at city

for me city need a major boost right now and the club will be headline news. but the impact messi could have on this city team is needed more than any money make or break on signing messi in jan. the player impact is worth the fee in itself for me

I'd have him simply for the huge amount of bitterness that would spew from the media. Sky pundits would drown in their own spit as they shouted their City Bingo phrases.
January would pass in an instant and my pants would be permenantly pissed in.

If we get one good season out of him it’ll be one more than the rags have got out of Pogba. You can bookmark that one and pull it out when needed

I’m not sure but didn’t they bring in a rule that you can only loan one player to any one club? Suspect that’s done away with our policy of sending all our youth players to them
