Barca still has a very decent squad. Araujo looking amazing in the defence and in the attack when needed , read somewhere that he is the only player in the top 5 leagues with over 2000 minutes played who has never been dribbled passed since like 2019 when his first game was. Any other central defender with over 2000 mins played has been dribbled passed at least 5 times. Pretty amazing stat.
Then theres Pedri and De jong in the midfield who could play in any team out there. Balde a very promising LB. Gavi a promising midfielder. Ansu Fati, Dembele. Demir another very promising winger. Minguenza promising CB can also play LB , scored against Real Madrid last season. Dest doesnt look bad either.

All these players are under 25 yo and you could build a team around them with a few experienced top quality players transfered.

Barca just needs a proper manager.

Well the players Ive mentioned have played important games so far , champions league games against the likes or Bayern, and their academy has a long history of quality players that came from there.
Ansu Fati , for example , whos only 18 yo has already scored against the likes of Real Madrid and Inter in the champions league.

You can have your opinion about De Jong but everywhere you look hes higly rated and seen as one of the best midfielders in the world.

Those important games being against lowly Spanish sides they couldn't beat ...and Bayern, who they restricted to a 3-0 loss, at home, without a single shot on target! Our team against Wycombe would match that...at least.
Academy history?? Makes you sound like a dipper....it's meaningless, the only use an academy has is the present.
Scoring against a good side, doesn't make you a great player lol
The only place i've looked at De Jong is on the pitch....a level below in a good Barca side, hasn't got enough talent to drag them along now, and beyond anonymous for Holland. Just like De Ligt at Juve....massively over hyped at Ajax but doesn't cut it at the top.

same bollocks about Van Dijk, till it was shown he either hacked them down, or in the case of Sane, some faux technicality meant it didn't count. Also doesn't stop more valuable movements like being passed past, run past, moved out of position, scored against, beaten to a strike or a header etc.

Excuses....what are you on about, seriously...are you 12 yrs old? I have no feeling either way about Barca.....they are just presently shite at best. Your only fact is someone scored against Real/Inter....big deal lol Ian Brightwell & Benjanni scored at the swamp....did that make them top class.
So what if their academy has produced great players......ours hasnt (yet), so in your world theirs still will and ours won't??
