Barcelona V Chelsea, 2nd Leg.

Hard to believe how 1 dimensional it looks for Barca when the goals don't come.
Well done to Chelsea - keeping Barca down to 2 goals, with a makeshift defence and only 10 men for the best part of an hour is unbelievable. Not attractive, but, you do what you must, and hats off to them. I don't fancy their chances in the final as the chances of doing something similar in 3 champs league games on the trot is very slim.
Ramires goal was top class; Torres goal - it seemed to take an age for him to go from half way till he scored, but, what an end to the game!
As for John Terry - what a complete and utter dick. Still, it's good to know he'll be available for his country at the Euro's - you always need these reliable, salt of the earth types in the trenches with you, don't you?!

Billiant defensive display. And a big 'FUCK YOU' to Barca.

Busquets is one despicable ****. Confirmed that moment when he went down holding his knee and then as soon as he realised the foul was given against him he shot straight up and ran to the ref complaining.

Pricks.

Anyway, what Chelski side can we expect to see? I'm glad that **** is suspended but really feel for Ivanovic, Meireles & Ramires.

---------------Cech--------------
--------Cahill -------David Luiz----
-Bosingwa-------------------Cole-
---------------Mikel--------------
-------Essien---------Lampard----
-Sturridge-------------------Mata-
--------------Drogba--------------

Possible Kalou or Malouda in place of Sturridge?

Either way, as they aint going to set up as defensively against Madrid or Munich as they did against Barca, I can only see another CL final loss for them.

Hope not though. I want Chelsea to win it so I can see Lampard lift it instead of that **** John Terry.

Not an expert in this, but I have a feeling that Torres and Drogba will play together, kind of like a 4-4-2 formation. Their defence is shot, so more likely they will go for attack to counter it.
Cahill and Luiz are currently injured, they may or may not make it to the final..

And Chelsea has everything to fight for..Champions League final, FA Cup final, need to win the remaining 4 league games to hopefully get 4th just in case they don't win the Champions final..so their team selection will be absolutely vital for their hopes..

PMSL im nearly in tears.

said it after first leg, will say it again - amazed messi didnt go out wide, especially in 2nd half when drogba played as left back, it kept going to alves who basically did nought

messi with only drog to beat before getting in the area couldve caused carnage

Utterly incredible night. To come back from 2-0 down against Barcelona at the Camp Nou with 10 men and knock them out, in the context of our history with them, is the best European night I've ever experienced. I still can't believe it. I don't know who we'll field in the final though so I'm hoping Bayern get through, who have a lot of yellows too. But right now I'm just going to enjoy this moment.

So you should.
When you went down to ten men I thought, 'might turn this off'. Then when you went one down I had a perverse itching to watch it develop into a massacre, especially after the second. At that point I wonder what odds I would have got that not only would you go through, (with scoring one), but to actually draw on the night too, away, at Barca?!

That will never be matched again, not under those circumstances.

According to Martin Samuel in today's Mail, someone on Betfair offered 999-1 for the draw at 2-0 down with 10 men, to which someone else staked £1. That's right, folks, the genius offering these odds had a maximum possible upside of just one of the Queen's English pounds, and ended up down a grand. Luvvly jubbly.

It was a great game for the neutral as well. Do you have enough players eligible for the final?
And i thought the lad at the back wearing No7 had a great game for Chelski. Torres' goal won me £25 as well som all in all, thanks.

Assuming injured players recover in time I'd go with this in the final. We don't really have any other options:

----------- Cech

Bosingwa - Luiz - Cahill - Cole

------- Essien - Lampard

-- Sturridge - Mata - Kalou

------------ Drogba

Ivanovich, Terry and Ramires are huge hits. But Terry is such a fucking idiot and doesn't deserve to be there. We'll need a boss performance from Essien like his hey day to make up for missing Ramires. The final wont be us camped in our own box fending off the onslaught. We'll actually have to play some football.
