I actually think this will be the team, Milner looked quality when he came on. About the only positive

We cant play that team as were under our quota of foreign players.

We got beat, fair and square at home 2-0 and that was in a game when Lionel was very, very, quiet. I really do fear the worst.

Having said that, we were 2 -0 down against Bayern away from home with half our best players missing and won 3- 2 without them really having an off day and half our first team missing and with the much criticised pony tailed one being the outstanding candidate for man of the match.

God knows how this one will pan out !

Get beat 6 - 2, win 3 - 1, lose on penalties, a dull 0 -0 draw, it's City - anything can and will probably happen.

It wasn't fair and square, the ref was a twunt

Getting the ball will be really hard. They are not in a need to attack, we are so it says logically that we have to be open, we have to attack, and when we do that we leave big spaces open, and Barca players want nothing more then some space for their attacks. 90% of the times teams are defensive vs them, trying to close the midfield, defend well and hoping for a draw. But the teams beating them did more, did very well defensively but attacked them and were aggressive vs them also most of them pressed them but it takes a lot of energy from the players doing it 90 minutes long. And of course they didnt need to overturn a 2-0 lead away from home.
Also maybe we need to be clinical and will have only 3-4 chances to score 3-4 goals. Cant see our players being that clinical, especially the strikers.

It will be extremely hard, dont think we have much chance here, tactics will be interesting, I hope Pellegrini can come up with something that at least gives us chances to score but still be OK at the back.

He has about 10 years experience playing vs Barca, most of the time he didnt have the squad to match them, now he has, and after this Wigan loss where he rotated for THIS Barca game it would be truly awful to go there and lose 2-0 or even worse margin.

I swear there's about 3 pages in this thread that are just lifted directly from the MCFC Facebook page

I was hopeful, but yesterday's performance has killed my belief in this side.
I know it will be a different side, but these players need to learn that sometimes
you have to roll your sleeves up and get fucking working. I don't see that in this side.
If all is going well we'll buzz, but we don't want to work or graft which all teams have to.
No good having all this talent if they aren't doing their best to showcase it.

Anyway I hope I'm totally fucking wrong and we win by the margin required, but I cannot see it.
This is worrying me as I have usually been the most delusional twat going when it comes to City.

The perfect team was mentioned before -

Hart
Zabba. Kompany. Lescott. Kolarov
Yaya fernandinho
Milner. Silva. Nasri
Aguero

+1

Navas on for Milner to do some damage to tired legs of Barca
Garcia on for Yaya (if we are winning) to preserve the lead

Getting the first goal is vital. If we score first, we might actually go on and progress.

Seems to be the consensus, and I fully agree.

So, we were all petrified about Demichelis coming up against Barcelona's forwards, but we're all delighted about Lescott coming up against them?

Putting soppy interviews to the side of a second, Lescott isn't good enough for this level. That's why we're not renewing his contract and buying Mangala instead.

I'm scared about Lescott on Wednesday. Very scared.
