Barry is still good enough

Barry has been heavily criticized this season, and many people lost their faith in him but I think Barry should keep his position next season.

He is not the fastest, strongest or the most skillful player, but he is always there in the right place at the right time ( Apart from his OG)

He works very hard to protect the back four and his link up play is very good for a defensive midfielder.

Great to see him pick Giggs' pocket last night and 'sprint' off down the left wing. The guy is class!

However, he is too slow and not the top level for European.

As a squad player, he probably should be kept. His starting place will be taken next season however, but he can still contribute as shown last night.

He was magnificent last night, and tends to do better in the big games.

However, he is too slow and not the top level for European.

His passing was superb - hardly ever put his team mates under pressure when they received the ball. Just a shame he had that mare at Southhampton!

MoM last night and everyone around us agreed, he bossed the midfield allowing Milner, Yaya and Nasri to play their games.

Alonso and Khadeira are not the fastest players in Europe.


Pace is not required for every position.

On his day he is still very good, but I don't think he can do it consistently like has in previous seasons. Personally I think it would be a big mistake to rely on him as our main starter next season. I still think we need another central midfielder as Rodwell is so injury prone, Garcia I'm still not convinced on.
