Barry is still good enough

On a much reduced contract, yes, otherwise i think we should be looking to the future while he still has a resale.

He was magnificent last night, and tends to do better in the big games.

However, he is too slow and not the top level for European.

His passing was superb - hardly ever put his team mates under pressure when they received the ball. Just a shame he had that mare at Southhampton!

I remember one awful pass in the first half which brought about a Utd attack.

He was brilliant last night. But still, he needs to be replaced in our "best 11", not saying he should go as is dependable in the league (especially if given more rest time with an addition).

What an outstanding performance by Gaz and Jimmy. Gaz was everywhere and made their midfield look missing in action.

A great pro and I personally hope that he stays with City.

I really love Barry, but replace him with someone like Gundogan (only mentioned because unlike Biscuits or similar we may actually be able to buy him) and watch us go. You have to remember our midfield was up against a midfield that has equally no business at a top club (Giggs.. really?). Put him up against Dortmund, Madrid, Barca tomorrow and you'll all be calling for his head again.

Keep him around for experience by all means, he's still got plenty to offer. But first choice conquering Europe 11? Not for me.

GazBaz pound-for-pound one of the best value buys for us in the last 5 years.. No other supporters can see beyond him getting stripped for pace by Ozil, but we know better.

MoM last night and everyone around us agreed, he bossed the midfield allowing Milner, Yaya and Nasri to play their games.

That's what everyone was saying around me last night.

Brilliant performance from Barry, although you wouldn't think so reading the ratings in the papers today.

Anyone who understands football knows Gareth is absolutely top class.

He's every bit as important to us as Yaya or Vinny or Kun

Makes the whole team tick

And he's got at least another year left in him yet

Barry has been heavily criticized this season, and many people lost their faith in him but I think Barry should keep his position next season.

He is not the fastest, strongest or the most skillful player, but he is always there in the right place at the right time ( Apart from his OG)

He works very hard to protect the back four and his link up play is very good for a defensive midfielder.

He's also been highly praised by a good number of fans. When his weaknesses are shown on the field he seems quite pedestrian, but when he plays to his strengths and is allowed to demonstrate what his strengths are, he can be outstanding. The blue glue that holds it together!

GAZ PUTS IN A SHIFT. he an old fashioned bona fide grafter!!! i like him loads, now he has had criticism by W@nk3R$ and the media lot. he has had the odd poor game but blues on here confirm his hard work off the ball. he is still good enough and i want him here for sure!

carrick had 5 $hite seasons at the scum, nothing ever said- even games where he hardly touched the ball....yet one half good season had the media creaming themselves over his play....it is ridiculous!!!

all we can do is focus on ourselves...together!!! feck that deluded pi$$can and his lil `pecker media spin doctors!!!

we, like Gaz Baz are better!!!
