Barton (merged)

Re: Barton

Can't believe some say they would have him back.

He isn't good enough for the EDS let alone 1st XI

-- Mon Aug 01, 2011 5:35 pm --

i have to say joey's still one of my favourite players City ever had (probably because of his love for The Smiths and how he seems like a genuienely intelligent person), despite causing much grief to the club and everyone around him. he seems like a seriously misunderstood person, much like Balotelli or Bellamy.

his personal life shouldn't be brought into what he does on the pitch, he's been brilliant for Newcastle the past 2 seasons, no one can say otherwise. absolute key player for them, and with him and Nolan both gone, I can see them being relegated this season.

but bringing him back here? I dont know if he would even want that himself, but no. not the right time for a guy like Barton to come in, he's a time bomb, ready to go off at any time. we have a few already, no need for another.

I dread to hear about your education if you consider Barton "genuinely intelligent".

No brainer. Goes on a free to Arsenal, who can then sell both Fabregas & Nasri for £55m, buy Mata for £20m and they've got enough left over for a decent centre back and/or goalie, with maybe some change.
Please let it be so.

Good player I'd say he would also make a great squad player for us as well. Hope he don't go rags. I wish him well tho almost single handedly kept us in the prem not so long ago :)
people are quick to forget.

yes they are, they seem to forget how crap the rest of the team was. Always though the better was M.johnson myself.

Good player in an Awfull team, thats the best way to sum it up. Dejong, Barry, Silva, Toure, Milner. Barton isnt as good as any of them.

Somewhere in those high echelons of NUFC, they have decided, I am persona non grata.

One day the board might realise, what the shirt signifies. HONOUR and PRIDE. Thanks for your continued support........... #toonarmy

Posted on his twitter, like that horrible little shit knows about Honour or pride.

Whats Honourable about punching a 15 year old child, i bet he took great pride in putting a cigar out on a youth players eye. Not to mention what he did to Dabo.

But yeah he played alright in a team that where tipped for the drop, kind of like what he has done at Newcastle.

No, still a tosser. Trashed Gareth Barry last season in the media, trashed Balotelli on Twitter, trashed his club on Twitter. A grade pea-brained twunt, Mancini has scraped Bellamy and Adebayor out of the squad already, Barton is much worse than them both for causing problems.

On a free? Worth the risk?

Hmmm, not sure. Do you think he could do better than the guys and gals we currently have on the beer pumps in the South stand ?
Personally I wouldnt want him even on a free. Money is not a big issue for us. He would undermine the team spirit and disrupt like he has done at previous clubs. We were glad to sell him on. Newcastle are releasing him on a free with a year left. He is bad news and I hardly think our owners would want him advertising their project. For heavens sake we have enough bad publicity without him. I hope he goes to the rags. The most hated character in football at the club most City fans hate the most.

Re: Barton

I still remember Barton as my favourite player at one stage and don't hate him as a lot seem to, I wish him all the best but wouldn't want him back at City.
