Bony is a horny player.
I think if he was staying he would play/use Iheanacho more. The consequences of his work over the next few months will not affect him here.
He may well be lining up Bony for his next club. However if Bony didn't feel he had the trust of MP he would never join him.
I also think that's what he's doing with Clichy (who is out of contract in the summer!). Easily our best left back, but I'm surprised Kolarov hasn't had game time against Villa and Norwich and Kiev to an extent.
He's probably just given him his word. He'd rather lose a game, than his word after all. He probably gave demicheles his word too - that's more important than preparing for playing against a quick attack. The ghost of Saddam Hussain could manage us for me as long as he wins sufficient matches. I don't need nice at my football club, I will happily accept a complete twat if it means winning.
The only logical reason I can think of is that Bony has something in his contract that gives him number two status which I find a ridiculous notion but hard to explain otherwise.

How close is Bony to Yaya? Upsetting Yaya we know is something Pellers is wary of, we do actually need Yaya to be at his best more than ever right now.Manuel is a coward. Playing Bony is the easy option. He cost a few bob, is a senior player and might get upset if a younger, better player starts ahead of him. Kelechi is young and easy to cast aside. Pellegrini doesnt want to rock the boat.
To be honest, the more Pellegrini plays Bony the more it looks like he was the one who really wanted the transfer in the first place. He clearly sees something in him that everyone else doesn't, otherwise I have no idea why he insists on playing him in the role he does
He's trying to play Bony out of the club for more than a fiver. It's not working. Get Nacho back in. Nacho and Aguero would be a lethal combination. Nacho would give Aguero support and would score goals. This season Nacho has been the better player and it would do him the world of good for next season getting another 8 games under his belt before next season.
I agree, I think it's pure asset management. As mad as Manuel can be, there is literally no way he looks at both players, their performances and skill sets and prefers Wilf. He may make tactical mistake, but there's no doubting he's a fan of attacking free flowing football. No way in my opinion is Bony playing for football reason.

So at the risk of losing £50m or more from failure to qualify for the CL we are playing Bony to maybe get £5m for him? Seems a bit silly that one!
I honestly think it is because Manuel is a very nice chap. And Bony seems a very nice chap. So he plays him to be nice. It's all very nice.
Obviously Kelechi wont get experience if he isnt pickjed, but Pellers bought Bony so he has to prove himself right, OR, the club need to sell Bony and need him in the shop window. I would offer him on a bogoff deal
Iheanachos age divided by his jersey number gives a smaller value than if the same was done with Bony's variables.
Which is the reason we are so boring to watch. I don't know if it's a confidence thing or they are being told to pass the ball to death but we are crying out for somebody that can run at a player and unbalance defenders. I was hoping Sterling would be that player but he just seems to stop and cut inside, is that the managers doing ?Think the reason he prefers Bony over Iheanacho is that the latter tends to give possession away more; it's the same reason that Sterling is benched or hooked in matches. For a manager so fixated on possession, it's little wonder he has less patience for players who lose the ball.
