i pointed out he was a player who was best of a bad bunch. At the time we thought he was better than he was, in fact good enough to be an England regular. We was very wrong, if you read the comment in the full context instead of cherry picking my point you will see its relevant

I think poster "sniff" explained himself very well, and it should be clear to everyone that sniff really appreciated Joey's time with us and wish him all the best. Sniff articulated his opinion calmly and collectedly and took into consideration the great appreciation alot of Blues have for Barton. I fully support "sniff" here.
