I love both The Pistols and REM but in terms of fronting a musical revolution, sticking 2 fingers up to the establishment and kick starting the Manchester music scene from 1977 to this day, then it's The Sex Pistols for me.

A little bit crazy putting the pistols against rem... but rem are a way better band with lot's of great cd's and a bunch of hits.

put rem against oasis

and as much as i like oasis it wont be them who has sold the most records... rem are/ was a massive global band.
