I read you can buy day tickets at the airport for €16 that are valid until 6am the day after. Can anyone confirm if they've used these on previous trips?

The daytickets from airport into the city and all the city area cost 16 EUR a day. They are valid until 6 am. Yes.

So to clarify IF we get past Bayern the semi final dates would be:

May 9th/10th - Away
May 16th/17th - Home

Have these dates been clarified by UEFA.

Might be a train to London rather than a flight to Madrid?

Those dates look pretty certain to me but I haven’t seen confirmation by UEFA.
There’s a Wikipedia page which confirms it for what that’s worth.

Just booked a flight 4 of us via brussles 6am day of game stay in munich 1 night,got it for 450 with hotel so bit cheaper than options with club ect

We're thinking of booking a hotel near the airport (9:30am flight on the Thursday). Which hotel and how are you getting back there after the game?

I've booked prizeotel München-Airport, 20mins from the stadium.

Hopefully just jump in a taxi after the game.

I know it’s not cheap, but if anyone is still thinking about an overnight in Munich, expedia.com does have some decent options near the airport for +/- 130 quid on match night. It’s an ‘easy’ public transport ride to the Allianz, or a 20 min 50 Euro taxi/uber ride

Maybe interesting for those that do not have problems with sleeping on a bus:
This is a bus trip with Flixbus from London to Munich starting Tuesday at 9.30 am and departing in Munich at 6.20.
Cost would be around 160 EUR (that were the cheapest options that were available right now).
(For that that do have the time but not the money for more expensive travels)
