Of course you can react to failure in Europe by saying it was rubbish anyway, and you're not bothered, but that's just an exercise in self-delusion.

The only thing that's rubbish in Europe is MCFC. Everyone else is super motivated and raise their game apart from us. Footballing wise it's a genuine challenge.

And another thing, if it's hard to win the Premiership how hard is it to win a European trophy and the Premier League. Teams that manage that really are teams that deserve to go down in history.

We've got a lot to do yet.

Not really sure how Guardiola will approach the last two games given that the group win is already assured. I hope he does put a competitive team out but a lot of rotation is inevitable.
I can't see him risking injury prone players like Robben or Ribery for a start, Shaqiri will probably get a game as will Rode, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Hojbjerg or Gaudino getting a run out. I also reckon that Pizarro and Reina would have started in place of Lewa and Neuer had it not been for their injury problems.
Obviously you want to win every game you are in but I can see City winning it and ending up with an all or nothing showdown in Rome.

I've not told anyone what they should or shouldn't be doing. That would be you.
People do what they want, nothing I can do, other than comment, they will please themselves.

I just think if you support the club there shouldn't be conditions, there never were when we were in the lower leagues, and shite, well not for me anyway.

Sorry jumping on this thread late but just wanted to add my two ps worth

Thers always going to be conditions for going to the game for many ..
I'll take thers the people who come what may they will attend all home games no matter what,( wife's birthday , wedding Anaversery , uncles funeral ) , but they can't give it the big un to those who attend come what may when they can financially afford to ( putting off the rent , paying the loans next week, dodging the gas bill ) who in turn can't give it out to those who buy ther season tickets but can't afford the cup games or choose to spend there well earned imcome and time with the family at the cinima and meal out, rather then at the stadium on a cold evening watching a cup game, And then thers the home and away brigade come what may.. Thay can't call the rest if us for having a life beyond city just as we can't call them fot there life being city come what may ....
Personally iv been through all thease stages and my close famaly and friends are at difrent stages of thease and Ayy we all except that we do what feels right for us ( apart from our kid who thinks coz he gone him and away the last 12 years he the dogs bollix and the biggest blue ever ) untill I ask him where was he stood in 81 cup final , and which iof the 10 goals he enjoyed more against hfield , can't answer coz he was too young to be there so in my book as a 44 yr old 14 year st hder, a go when I could afford to b4 that, a jibber inner, b4 that a whit untill the gates opens 15 min from ender, who choses what cup, away games I wish to attend , and sometimes missing a home league game as I may feel a bit of family qt more important, I'm just as loyal a fan as any .
but I'll always put my personal life first ,,,

il always be open to change should Kun Jo, jimmy or yaya wish to spend there free time round at mine ..,
A wise blue said to me one day when he wasent feeling too well one match day and was missing the game , (under joe royal ) " do they come and see me when I'm not bad " no

Iv missed a couple if home games and a couple if cup games ciz couldn't be arsed and hay turned out well .. The team couldn't be arsed also so we both on the same page ... Live and let live .. Supper when you can / want and enjoy it .. Don't worry about what others as doing ..

Sorry, but what did you say...?!

I do not think that he will play a B-team. Gaudino is playing the match for the U19 in City that day - there is no need to play him. The oldies in the midfield have had 2 weeks off because of the international break - and with Schweinsteiger's comeback they can do a rotation there. The front five for sure want to play - one or two of them probably cannot even start. And there is no rotation on the back apart from the usual two out of Benatia, Dante and Boateng as there is nobody to choose from.

The week after the match does not have a midweek match.

After the experiences of the last season I do not think that Guardiola will start rotating at this point but will try to keep everybody concentrated. There is 2 Champions League matches and 6 in the Bundesliga to go until winter break.

This is more jizzdom than wisdom.

Well i was convinced i would not be going to this game , but after due consideration i love city more than i hate UEFA , so although its a bit frantic getting to night games , and the TV and armchair look quite appealing , i will be there , come on you blues.

I wasn't going to go (as per my No More Champions League For Me Thread) but I've been persuaded to go with 4 of my mates who are big Burnley fans but for some reason are very keen to see this game?!?!?

so just bought 5 tickets this morning (£200!!!!!)
