Bayern Munich Thread - 2023/24

There was a moment in the game (penalty award?)when sir harrry did his typical thing of standing next to the ref with his arm round him and kimmich just came barreling in and told kane to fuck off, pushed him out the way. Kane is gonna have to get used to not being the big don English captain that everyone panders to in Germany!

Still a great player for England for many years.
I'm sat here straining my memory on any fantastic shrek England performances
I seem to recall one from very early in his international career, in a tournament when the supporters were really chanting his name after a great goal, but apart from that I honestly can't recall anything

It might be to do with the fact that England were more successful so naturally gets more praise.

Harry Kane is bland and inoffensive, Rooney and Shearer had poor or very poor disciplinary records for strikers. Shearer is a big head, and Rooney shagged grannies, swears down cameras, and cheated on his pregnant wife with escorts.

He's also by virtue of playing for them for so long, a rag.

Stay at home Harry married a woman he went to primary school with and hasn't had any personal scandals.

Still this story persists. Can someone please tell me Haaland cost fuck all due to shirt sales:

Bayern Munich are confident they will bank a fortune from the sale of replica shirts with Harry Kane's name on, helping them recoup some of the huge transfer fee they paid Tottenham for the 30-year-old England captain. (Sunday Mirror)

Haaland will probably become cost neutral due to him being one of, if not, the highest profile players in the world and because of that, the club becomes an entity large international businesses want to be associated with which in turn means City commands higher commercial money
Also, shirt sales directly involving City's retail is small fry, but there probably is a target bonus written in the Puma contract

Aside from being Englands all time top goal scorer - Consistently played well, consistently scored, consistently given his all in a very tough lone position up front.

Top goal scorer largely via stat padding against shit teams like Andorra (which he selfishly insisted on playing against in order to stat-pad when it would have benefited the squad more for a second striker like Tammy to play).

Has bottled it for England when it mattered in the big games at the big tournaments.

Anyone who thinks he "gave his all in a very tough lone position up front" can't have actually watched England play much.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if his bottling gene infected Bayern.

I'll grant that he's great at scoring penalties (most of the time).
