Bayern Munich v MCFC Post match Discussion thread

Not read everything on this thread so apologies if repeating.

A few points:

Let's not blow the Dzeko reaction out of all proportion. Had the Tevez incident not also happened we'd be talking about a striker angry to be coming off because he wants to play. Great, shows he's dedicated. End of story. Move on.

Played well for half an hour then fell apart. Yaya Toure hasn't had the best start to the season. Got away with it in the league, showed up tonight. Barry's been carrying that part of the midfield work.

There's still some way to go. Lots to learn but this is hardly the most horrific thing that's ever happened. The manner was disappointing but I'll be more concerned if we don't beat Blackburn.

Finally Carlos Tevez should fuck off. I have had no time for him since the wanting to leave business began. He's a great player, I'll agree that but would really rather never see him in a City shirt again. He is a disgrace most of all to himself.
The cynical side of me thinks that this is a carefully orchestrated move by him and his mate Kia.
Whatever it is it most definitely is disrespectful to City and to the supporters, it's an embarrassment, not to City but to Tevez and I have to agree with everything Souness said about him. His behaviour epitomises everything that is wrong with football.

So furious that, yet again, it's the Carlos Tevez show for all the worng reasons.

Hoping this will all seem a lot better by the weekend but I suspect that unless we thrash Blackburn this is going to go on and on.
Welcome back to the familiar madness of MCFC!

Tell you all another thing, Yaya Toure is going to be benched once De Jong is fully back and fit, as I predicted back in the summer when we were linked with Nasri. It was unthinkable back then, not so much now though is it?

Dzeko bashing, ha? you got to be fyking kidding me.

Hart, Richards and Dzeko actually TRIED to do something. I warned about Dzeko's temper months ago, and that if he doesn't start getting some service soon he'll explode. TA-fucking-DA.

Substituting a forward off at 55' when you are down 0:2 is an insult to him; especially after running his arse off on the pitch.

Aguero did not do shit today; nor did anyone else, but Aguero was the other attacker on the pitch alongside Dzeko.

Rate them:

Heart, Richards, Dzeko: 3

Other 8 starters: 2

Bob: 0

Cheers

Former Liverpool boss Graeme Souness talking about Carlos Tevez on Sky Sports: "He is one bad apple. He can undo all the good work that has been done (at City). He's a disgrace to football. He epitomises what most people think is wrong with modern football. It is totally unacceptable. He's a football player and he is paid to play. He is refusing to help his team-mates. It's all about him, him, him."

The whole night has been a fucking shambles.

Wank performance, stupid team selection, ridiculous substitution and then Tevez and Dzeko.

Tevez is finished.

Dzeko should be dropped. He is starting to look wank again

oh and yaya.....wank.

2238: It looks like we might hear from Carlos Tevez tonight too. He is in the media mixed zone at Bayern's Allianz Arena and talking to journalists.

BBC:

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has said he wants Carlos Tevez "out of the club" after the striker refused to play against Bayern Munich.

City were 2-0 down with 35 minutes to go and Mancini wanted to bring on substitute Tevez to salvage the game.

Mancini said: "If I have my way he will be out of the club. He's finished with me.

"For me it's a bad situation. In a game like this it's important for a player to help the team. This is impossible."

TV pictures showed some heated discussion between Tevez, Mancini and coach David Platt, but the striker was not brought on.

"I wanted to calm everything and put Carlos Tevez on the pitch," Mancini said.

"I am really disappointed because it is Carlos.

"We will speak about this with the chairman in the next few days."

Mancini said a player at a top club could not "refuse to go in to help his team mates".

"Can you imagine a Bayern Munich, Milan or Man United player doing this?" he said.

"But if we want to improve as team Carlos can't play with us. With me, he is finished.

"He refused to warm up and again refused to go on the pitch. If a player has a lot of money to play for Manchester City ... he can't [not] play, never."

"I think tonight we had a problem, in this game. Before, we never had a problem, we started the season very well but I can't accept one player refusing to go in."

The Argentine striker spent pre-season searching in vain for a new club and earlier this month was permanently replaced as skipper by defender Vincent Kompany.

Tevez released a statement in July making clear his desire to leave City for family reasons.

A few weeks later, City thought they had agreed a deal with Corinthians for the sale of the striker, only for the Sao Paulo-based outfit to pull out because they could not finalise the transfer before the close of their international transfer window.

Inter Milan were also consistently linked with the player, but instead opted for Atletico Madrid's Diego Forlan to replace Samuel Eto'o.

A combination of the fee wanted by City for Tevez and the player's salary demands seem to have warded off potential suitors. Late in August, Tevez admitted he had given up on moving before that window closed.

Tevez in the press area apparently. God bet he comes out with some bollocks about not being int he right mind, wants to leave, hates the manager etc etc. Fuck off Carlos theres no way you can spin this the whole world now sees the **** you are.

Hi to all readers of bluemoon. First off im a life long blue, (31 years) who has seen the bad and now enjoying the good of our great club. Have read this forum for a few years and never really thought i needed to add anything to it, but tonight i feel i have to. A few points, 1. the ref should have given us two pens in the first ten mins. 2. Hart pulled off two great saves before he was beaten for the first goal (bit of luck for bayern), another great save before Gomez got his second (unlucky again for Joe). 3. I dont think Mancini had any idea about Tevez not wanting to come on when he took Dzeko off(striker for dm). 4. Because of Tevez refusal to play second half was always going to be very hard (no other strikers to come on in place of Dzeko). 5. Dzeko has every right to be pissed off with getting taken off i think he played better than Aguero. Anyway we can learn from this and the sky is blue cause its a blue moon rising.
