Bayern Munich v MCFC Post match Discussion thread

City boss Roberto Mancini on BBC Radio 5 live: "I decide the changes. That moment I decided to change Edin Dzeko with Nigel de Jong because I wanted to keep clam in the squad and not concede a third goal because we were 40 minutes to the end. And after five minutes Carlos was ready to go on. After that he refused to do warm up again and refused to go on the pitch. If one player earns a lot of money, play for Manchester City in the Champions League and has this behaviour, for me he can't play. Never."

Can't belive what some mates are posting here. OK, I'm new to this forum and this is my premiere. I was just a plain reader of your comments.
You support Mancini's decision. My God! We are not City from five years ago. This team is Europe's TOP5 considering players we have.
On the other hand, how dare you to justify his decision to defend 2:0?
Tevez was disgrace.
Joe Hart was amazing. No other goalkeeper would be able to save some shots he did tonight. Yet, he wasn't screaming at midfield nor Dzeko and Aguero on top. He was furious (reasonably) with the reaction of defense.

Considering the fact that Dzeko is still at the top left corner of this web page, I support his decision. He had an incredible start that Mancini (and noone else) cutted. I was amazed by the fact one of mates wrote that Dzeko passing was disgrace. Have a look at the first 53 minutes of the match, mate. But he should have scored that one instead of passing it to Neuer.

I wouldn't throw arguments on why we must change tactics. It's simple... I want Mancini to go. Hire us Rijkaard or Hiddink. Mancini - time to go! Your fault for players' discipline.

Tevez has sealed his fate.

Fine him a month's salary and give it to charity.

Would let him rot in the stiffs for the rest of his contract rather than let him have his way and leave the club.

Doubt any top clubs or their managers will have been impressed by his utter disregard for professionalism tonight.

Zabba looked mightily pissed off and was clearly avoiding eye contact with him whilst Tevez speaking animatedly to him. Think Zabba was unimpressed at the idiot's decision...

How unpopular can I make myself in the next few lines? Doesn't really matter. This is the truth.

Tevez showed his true colours last year. 26 goals. It's thanks to him that we played this game tonight.

In return management spoilt him, treated him like a prodigy and helicoptered him to the airport 20 mins after each game to be with his family.

A previous poster said "Good bad apple". Very true. But apples don't go bad if you keep them properly.

We have one of the most gifted strikers the past two decades have seen (and with Kun that makes two). We let him take an extra two weeks holiday and run to seed. Now he's overweight and feeling f**ked off because he's being punished by being sent the the bench - the naughty step in his mind. All he wants to be doing is jinking through defenders and finding millimetres to score the miracle goals that we've all watched.

Of course we don't need Tevez anymore, because we've got Edin. 6 goals in 3 games. August awards player. And he is a great player. But he's not Tevez. And how strange that smiling happy hard working team man Edin has now suddenly lost his rag with the manager.

Kun, a natural, he will be a great player for us. Balo, brilliant reflex shot and goal against Everton, desperately wants to be loved by every fan, hope he will be great for us, Dzeko, in spite of his scoring record so far he is not in CL league class from what I have seen.

But Tevez. 12 months ago he was the Ace in our pack and we have somehow managed to turn him in the Joker. He doesn't hate City. He loves City. He just hates being left out. And if you'e looking for the guy who will score from nowhere, well that's Tevez.

The last post I made like this I received the comment "Obviously not a City fan".

So Fire Away

Tevez said in interview that he already wanted to leave anyway.
AND WHY THE FUCK are all the pundits slagging Tevez off, and Mark Hughes is the odd one out of the equation?
