So, my question would be:

In what world (and for what possible reason) would you bring back long-injured Silva for THIS GAME (let's face it - prestige only), with Arsenal awaiting....??

Can someone enlighten me about the thought process here, cause I think that is dumb as sh*t...but it might be just me.

Get some match sharpness under his belt, obviously..

This is the opportunity for a few of our players to prove they are good enough to be part of a squad challenging for European honours.

Match fitness/sharpness I'd imagine. I'd rather he go into the Arsenal game with some amount of minutes under his belt.

Match fitness, a game under the belt, getting back up to speed, game practice, fresh after rest

My mates have travelled I can assure you they will be pretty pissed of spending that money watching the reserves
So have plenty of mine, but that is what happens if you make the decision long before tickets go on sale. I would have gone myself, but I waited, and once we'd won in Moscow I made the decision not to go as it was almost certainly a dead game, and I've better things to spend my money on than travelling half way across europe for a game that doesn't matter.

I'm sorry for those who have gone, though I doubt anyone out there will let the football spoil the trip, it never has for me.
