First HUGE test of us playing abroad in Europe against one of the biggest and best sides in the world.

To be honest, whatever the result, I'm proud of us being in the same sitting room as the biggest clubs in Europe.

I'm guessing 2-2, with City battling hard to get the equaliser in the 92nd minute (because that's what we need to start doing if we are to win games against better opponents).

So long as we don't try parking the bus, it should be a cracker but my prediction is Bayern 4-2 City as they are currently unplayable. I have just read what the manager of Bayern Lerkusen says about them. Its terrifying.

We gave Leverkusen a real run around, if we'd not stepped off the gas at 2-0 with Tuesday in mind we'd have slaughtered them.
But they were missing a few regulars and City are a better side than Leverkusen anyway.

You are completely wrong. At present, Tevez is over-weight, unfit and out of form. Dzeko is ideally suited to the German style of play.

Dzeko scored 4 times in five matches against bayern...

That is old crap from years ago. He scored 4 times in 8 games... - twice in this 1:5 clash in April 2009. The team has changed a lot since then - new system, new players, old out...

Bayern played like this then:

Rensing (4) (plays for Cologne)
Lell (5) - now in Berlin
Lucio (4,5) - plays for Inter
Breno (5) - out because of injuries and never really made it at Bayern
Lahm (4)
van Bommel (3) - plays for Milan
Zé Roberto (4) - plays for Bremen
Schweinsteiger (5,5)
Ribery (5)
Toni (4,5) - plays for Juve
Podolski (6) - plays for Cologne now

Only Lahm, Schweinsteiger and Ribery are left of that team...

Klinsmann had his last coaching days in Munich... (coaching probably is the wrong word) before Heynckes overtook Bayern and saved that season prior to Van Gaals arrival.

It is not about Dzekos quality and for sure he is accustomed to the way German teams play what makes him a good asset for tomorrows game. But not because he scored two goals in that game.

He scored a goal in the 2:1 loose of Wolfsburg in Munich last year - that is more interesting. The team then has a lot more to do with today's Bayern team.

The 1:0 was a combination from two then 20-year-olds - Kroos and Müller. Then Dzeko did a header after a corner kick. The last one was a Ribery-Schweinsteiger combination.

We currently have two players in the top three goals scorers of the Premier League (Dzeko and Aguero), two among the top three in assists (Silva and Nasri), and we have a really solid defence... so we we definitely have a chance of coming away from Bayern with at least a point.

But having said that, I'd see a draw as a victory.

3-1 to us edin pretty much always scores against them, nasri's 1st goal and a penalty (maybe a cheeky Balo pen)

You surely must remember which highly strung little boy single handedly put us out of Europe last season?

I'm really looking forward to the game our first real test .
Gutted I'm not going but when u settle down to watch it tomorrow night it will hit me that we are now European players .
It will be tough however if we defend as a team and stay strong we've every chance of catching them cold on the break .
I hope NDJ is fit that will be a major boost.
