I always had a licence while living in the UK but not sure if I needed one as I did watch live TV but not from the UK. Did I actually need to pay the fee (just out of interest)?
One minute he calls them woke. The next minute he's calling them paedo protectors.....How about "I don't like it but can't actually articulate why"
Translation: I can't be arsed having a debate with you any further because you clearly think you're 100% right and therefore any alternative facts or counter view are pointless.Translation: I have no logical argument to counter yours. I've been made to look a fool by comparing the licence fee to paying taxes on services and have been called out on it. I am choosing not to engage further because I have no further argument to pose.
Par for the course on here, but you're right to want to disengage. You are way too defensive over a matter that's relatively benign, especially if your tone of argument is "aRe yOu A RiGhT wInGz!?"
Of course I'll think i'm "100% right", because it's my opinion. One that, in an era of streaming services, the concept of a licence fee is archaic and the BBC should adopt a subscription strategy. You're the one trying to convince me otherwise and failed to do so, unprompted or asked.Translation: I can't be arsed having a debate with you any further because you clearly think you're 100% right and therefore any alternative facts or counter view are pointless.
I have no idea what your last 5 words mean as they don't seem to make any sense-what is winGz? . TTFN
No money back, no guarantees...No science, no nature, no documentaries, no dramas, no art, travel worth watching all programming on some BBC. channel. Yes not looking hard enough.
Listen Plod, have you heard of Amazon, Netflix? Plenty of old BBC dramas there like the Street and The Accused, only 15/20 years ago, gradually went down the pan as the years went by, that’s when I bailed, that ok for you?But you don't watch any..
So what happened 15/20 years ago, to make the BBC shows on Netflix ‘woke’? Was 2006/2011 a big time for wokeness?Listen Plod, have you heard of Amazon, Netflix? 49p a day. It probably goes towards your subscription on that well known porn site, Tight arse! ;-)Of course I'll think i'm "100% right", because it's my opinion. It's not about being 'right', it's my opinion, one I believe to be correct. I'm not the one passing about assumptions of 'not wanting to pay taxes for schools and services' just because I disagree with others about paying a licence fee for a broadcaster I don't find any personal use for.
Personal opinion, programmes were a lot more realistic and enjoyable. So what happened 15/20 years ago, to make the BBC shows on Netflix ‘woke’? Was 2006/2011 a big time for wokeness?
What was the issue that caused you to quit?
Why do you spell ‘programmes’ correctly with consummate ease, yet struggle with ‘licence’?Personal opinion, programmes were a lot more realistic and enjoyable.
American English probably, predictive text on my iPhone? I rely on it as my eyesight is terrible and I can’t be arsed wearing readers in the house. Why do you spell ‘programmes’ correctly with consummate ease, yet struggle with ‘licence’?
Send them my regards and thank them for the meal out the other week.American English probably, predictive text on my iPhone? I rely on it as my eyesight is terrible and I can’t be arsed wearing readers in the house.
I’ll turn myself in to the grammar police first thing tomorrow morning.

PS. You just missed a very entertaining Rugby Union match on BBC1
If anyone, whatever their interests, can’t find something worth watching or listening to on the 4 TV and many radio stations,.then they aren’t looking hard enough.Says more about them than the BBC.
I don’t know what you are talking about. But you said that being a know-all is worse than being a thief. It isn’t.Strange how match day threads are full of Blues watching City and non City games that are not being broadcast in the UK, how do you explain that?
OP said “thief” which I’m not apart from owing a dodgy box, pretty sure there’s a high percentage of members on here who have watched dodgy pirate streams, bought snide gear on holiday or own dodgy boxes and the like. There’s a different level of fraud, tbh, I don’t give two fucks, Sky and the BBC are charlatans and o won’t support their organisation’s for various reasons.I don’t know what you are talking about. You are a thief, no more, no less, and try to justify it like every drug dealer and burglar.OP said “thief” which I’m not apart from owing a dodgy box, pretty sure there’s a high percentage of members on here who have watched dodgy pirate streams, bought snide gear on holiday or own dodgy boxes and the like. I'm calling this post out. I tried finding tight arse but not one search engine brought it up. It simply does not exist.49p a day. It probably goes towards your subscription on that well known porn site, Tight arse! ;-)
