I would never have played Sylvinho against Lennon, thus making me more tactically astute than Hughes, au revoir
Who would you have played then? No Lescott, No Bellamy, No Lescott.

Left hand side was shot to pieces

its the worry of my beloved city dropping a clanger, we MUST get it right if we are to make a change though.

Hate to say this but people used to say the same about baconface.

different times im afraid, the problem as i see it that as fans we cannot see any sort of improvement, we still look like the disorganized city as of last year, the arguement of time only applies if you see change for the better even at a slow rate, i think the hughes outers are scared that if we give him more time we may miss the boat. If we got a top class manager that has done it before there would be less doubt that the results if bad werent down to the managers ineptitude and we would eventually get it right.

At the present time no one can say if next year we would be better than this whereas if we got say mourinho we would be more optismistic that we would eventually get there

It is not 'different times' you are just thinking that because of the mass media swirl thats surrounds modern day football. The game is still the same and a manager needs time to shape his squad, it is so easy to panic but every time we do we go back two years and will never get to where we want to be.

ok, we now have a divide in our fan base, if and when hughes is replaced there will still be a divide, there will still be players "not playing for the manager", we'll still get the sky refs doing their level best to keep us out of the top 4.

what do we do then, sack that manager?.

ok jose is worth the gamble, even hiddink, the resr though are not an improvement on hughes and in fact could do a lot worse, we will have wasted 18 months should that be the case.

the devil you know for me.

Even if it's a crap devil?

If we waited till the end of the season im sure we'd get Mourinho. Patience is the key.

it is different times for a start although baconface had money it was nothing compared to what we have spent so the owners need to see more improvement quicker, also the importance of a top four place wasnt there in terms of money and attracting the right type of players. Surely if you spend more money than any other club by a large margin we should at leasst see better defending or more organisation or a set pattern of play
