be talking to someone today

Oh, for fook's sakes!!

Robinho wanted away from Real! He'd have gone to the moon, if he had to! And Kompany wasn't getting on with his manager! Not only that, I think he liked the prospect of the Prem! If the Arse came in for Kompany at the same time, do you think he would've chose us?? Especially if we had no real money?

Come on, fellas, be fooking reasonable!!

Some of you, on here, are quite delusional individuals! Messi??

When we've not even earned a Champs League placing or even a cup, yet?!!

Unbelievable stuff. Quite embarrassing, in reality!

If it's going to be anyone, it'll be of the level of Diego Forlan/ Luis Fabiano/ Frederic Kanoute/ Kevin Kuranyi, et al. PERHAPS Henry.

No further, yet.

So whys Robinho here then? Oh ye of little faith

The young lady has a point, Bigga. Playing alongside Robinho/ Jo/ Elano, first team Brazilian internationals, several top young English players, Vinny Kompany, Martin Petrov, Pablo Zabaleta- any player in the world worth looking at wouldnt dismiss City outright. The man with the desert sun tan and the headscarf does the rest ;)

Here's to optimism. Cheers, lads n lasses. :D

in my view money talks bullshit walks, if city meet a clubs valuation for a player be that kaka or messi im thinking both theese lad's who have been at their respective clubs for a few years now might just might want a fresh challenge with the wages we could offer City is obviously on the up. Would Robinho of gone to sunderland if they had the cash? I very much doubt it so while realistic signings are more acheivable at the moment i dont think you can rule out superstar signings.

Not trying to be pessimistic. Just a realist.

You all seem to dismiss the circumstances of Robbie's arrival. Sure he just wants to play footy and that's no mean thing. But, come on, if Chel$ki actually put in a battle and matched the fee, would we have secured his services??

They would have been outbid.

It was pretty obvious Madrid didnt want to sell to Chelsea - all the disrepectful shirt selling didnt help.

I, like so many on here, have seen so many false dawns, but to quote Mikey from the Goonies, "This is our time!"

Robinho would of come here anyway for the money 90 % of players are greedy git's he is no different.

Obviously, the point has sailed over many heads, so there's really no point in the discussion, is there?

Please correct me if I'm wrong but I thought Chelski did put a bid in after city's but the madrid chairman was never going to sell to chelski

I understand your angle, but unfortunately Robbie never had the opportunity in choosing City or Chelski cos we were never in contention at the same time until about 4 hours til transfer deadline ended.

He could go to Chelski big wages living in london big phil but would he of played?

He comes to us biggest name player, the fans love him he is the don master robbie loves being the big fish, he is on massive wages he has several brazilians in his team 1 being his best mate
he also see's and buy's into city's vision. Would he have chosen chelsea of course he would.

*shakes head*
