Regal Lager was the worst I ever tasted. It was brewed by Joseph Holt and was so called because "Regal" is "Lager" spelled backwards.

The old Heineken "cold filtered" (abv 3.4%) was pretty horrendous, although the stuff on draught now bears a much closer resemblance to the Dutch original.

I think Carlsberg is the mainstream standard lager I dislike the least. Freedom Lager is the best standard lager out there (at 4.8% abv it just about qualifies) if you can get your hands on it.

Yep, not pleasant in blighty but very drinkable over here.

Pity the poor ex-pat that has had his taste-buds blighted by drinking Keo. Keo is so shit it makes Carlsberg seem ok.

Leffe Belgian beer is my favourite,love the stuff! can't drink Fosters,Carlsberg or any other piss!

Leffe is good , give Duvel a try or any Belguim beers for that matter.

Our kid loves the stuff but its far too sweet for me

When i was in Rome i was amazed by how many itallians in bars are drinking tennants super in a bottle! Honestly. I think its a premium beer over there.
Loads of the bars had in the window "Peroni.Heineken.Tennants"

Doesn't surprise me. Most of the 'premium' beers people pay a fortune for in England are viewed as bog-standard shit in their home countries.
