Before the money arrived what was your City ambition?

X2 but apart from that I was hoping we could always hit the next level which I suppose was a top10 prem side with the hope of a cup run!

The thing i now worry about after reading this is the fact that our ambitions are now a lot higher and the transition period has obviously been very easy. However can you imagine thinking now, top 10 is a success or avoiding relegation is a good season. Strange thing ambition

Top 6 finish and a good cup run, its only now I realise how unrealistic that ambition was and how difficult it is especially with some of the awful players/managers we've pinned our hopes to

Who would have though a team that went 6months without a home goal would 3 and a half yrs later be one of the best teams around?

In my opinion we will not appreciate how bad we have actually been over the last 15/20yrs until we've had a few yrs with the players we have now. And only then will we really appreciate how lucky as fans/club we are

Until Thaksin provided our first injection of capital, my goals for City were simple: staying in The Premiership; reaching the Quarter Finals of either domestic cup; having at least one England squad member on our books; and holding the Rags to a home draw, if we were lucky. Much like being a Liverpool or Everton supporters these days.

Was to win The FA Cup...

Obviously my ambitions for the club have changed now but have always been mesmerised by the glory of the cup.

just get to wembley, couldnt see it happening as we always blew it when all the big teams went out early.

i only wanted to go the once in my lifetime, not much to ask.

looks like i will need a season ticket for wembley now hehe!

When KK got us promoted, I thought we may start to push on for a Champions League place within a couple of seasons.

Then when we had the likes of... Hart, Richards, Onuoha, Jordan, Croft, Ireland, Miller, BWP, Sturridge
I thought I was watching the emergence of not only our team that was going to carry us forward for years to come, but possibly they could be the nucleus of the English national team

I eventually put the crack pipe down.

honestly, mine was for us to win a cup. the league cup would have been just as important to me as the f.a.cup.
also, i have a fascination with kits. to see city in a competitive match against atletico, inter, milan, real, barca, juve or celtic would have been a dream so i've done one this year with the juventus home match.

Well, yer could have done that at the end of the month. Juve went and nicked their kit off Notts County. Nothing magical about these foreign kits.

I've always been quite happy with staving off administration and having a set of fixtures for the next season.
